Sorry for missing week 11 and 12. The bunpro deck has once again been updated. And is now, complete!
Was anyone actively using the deck in their daily reviews? Whatās your percentage of learned words?
To be transparent, I ended up not using it since I have been solely focused on JLPT N4 prep in my SRS apps and I didnāt want to add extra words to my workload, so Iām at 488/1072 (45%) learned. Looks like after Dec. Iāll have work to do for FF2!
Speaking of FF2! Simias, would you be willing to allow me to access the vocab sheet early so I can get a bunpro deck started and ready for publication? If yes, feel free to email me at the contact you have for me.
Iāve discovered it quite late unfortunately, but I plan to go through it and mark most stuff as āmasteredā so it will eventually already appear as known in future decks.
I definitely used that deck! I also have been focusing more on grammar lately, so I havenāt been adding a lot of words to my queue, so usually I just take one off of this list every day (I donāt let it automatically choose, I go pick a word I have seen a bunch while playing) and add it to my queue along with everything else I am doing. I am currently at 534/1072, so 49%.
Thanks so much for making this list. Once I finish up the N3 grammar (some day baby, some day!) in Bunpro I would like to pound that list a lot harder for several weeks and then play through the game again, so it will be super helpful! I also appreciate that it is more accurate than most of those lists on bunpro, since you did it by hand? At least it seems that way.
Yeah I fell off around week 5-6. Ironically the dungeons seemed to slow me down as much as the japanese. If you donāt grind the original game can be kind of punishing, and magic is not that great early game! 99 potions for the marsh cave doesnāt feel so crazy when I took 50 to take out the lich and still died on the trek back out because I ran out of healing⦠Not to mention the cockatriceās that petrify your whole party on turn 0! It makes for a more interesting experience though so Iām not sure if I will change my ways. Going to keep plucking away at it this month, maybe Iāll see you all in FF2
I have the last 3 weeks to do that Iāve been avoiding for a while bc of all the dungeoning, so I get it! I figure I have until January to finish before we start ff2, so Iāll put in a final push somewhere around the holidays.
I fell off around week 5 primarily because of gameplay rather than language, too. I got through week 7 over the American Thanksgiving holiday, and now Iām waiting for my winter holiday to start, so I can marathon the rest. Hopefully I can finish in time to start FF2 with everyone!
If the game feels too hard or tedious and youāre playing the Pixel Remaster, remember that there are āboostā options that let you increase how much gil and XP you get.
I used that when I wanted to go through the game fast in order to prepare this club and it does trivialize the game completely.
Iām totally doing thatā¦I (apparently ) prefer an overpowered play-throughā¦
I got stuck around week 6 (before getting my canoe for mountain rivers) just because I got āsucked into other thingsā #life intervened
