I literally found him after I last replied to this thread but I have been listening Yonezu Kenshi (米津玄師) almost nonstop. All of his songs are bangers. Some of my favorites are 感電, Lemon, and Flamingo (all three of those songs are from his most recent album).
BNHA fans might recognize ピースサイン.

I’ve always loved Boris. They have a rather large discography that’s quite varied and interesting, but Pink is maybe good to start with. Their collaboration with Sunn is also very good

i don’t listen to daoko too often (i was introduced to her by dragalia, don’t listen to much of her other music) and i only clicked this song to get it out of my recommendations, but i actually really enjoyed it.

It’s pretty mainstream at this point and he’s been mentioned earlier in this thread…but I really love Yasutaka Nakata. He is mainly known for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and PERFUME these days, (and I love Kyary’s music) but his work as CAPSULE is incredible.

In terms of the music he does for Kyary, I think this is an underrated one:
I tend to listen to J-Pop more than any other genre and he’s a big reason why, and I’m excited to listen to some Kyary and understand it eventually. She sings pretty slowly and clearly so I imagine she’s not too hard to understand.
