I had a dream last night where the password was “My name is Lucy, you should have said please” and then we all got a beta membership for EtoEto.

CONFIRMED: the password is not “My name is Lucy, you should have said please.”

Did you try “please”?

Ah, thanks. I hadn’t heard about the origin of the durtle, so I was coming up with a conspiracy that everyone with the badge already had solved it and and they were misdirecting us.

Let’s see… @anon20839864 could be the new boss that is changing everything (WaniKani Content Overhaul)

then… I don’t know LOL

That seems like a good direction to go in.

If you run into any trouble,
make like your Review pile and don’t panic.
That is the most important thing.

What’s another way to say “don’t panic”? Be calm? Remain calm?

This sentence bothers me. Why is ‘Review’ capitalized? ‘Make like your Review pile’ doesn‘t sound like an accurate grammatical construction, at least to my ears.

How much stuff changed in the Content Overhaul?

40 on’yomis and 40 something radicals? Maybe 91 in total?

It’s probably referencing the structure of this phrase: “Make like a tree and leave.” So it’s not unusual.

Here’s something I noticed. In the Durtle Lobby, there are 15 or 16 lines of text, right? If you were to label them with hexadecimal characters start from 0, then lines 9, a, and b, would be:

If you run into any trouble,
make like your Review pile and don’t panic.
That is the most important thing.

And all of the pieces of the clue (including 91 if you consider that a piece) start with 9, a, or b.

ac b7 b4
9b b5 a0
b0 b1 a1

So maybe, ac is “line a, character c” in hexadecimal terms, etc.

Interesting thought…

As someone pointed out, why is Review capitalized? Could it be an indicator that it has something to do with the puzzle or simply that they are using it as a proper noun?

The first clue, AC, points at that capital R ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Ok, let’s see:

With Spaces:

AC: u B7: “space” B4: “Space”
9B: i B5: i A0: m
B0: T B1: h A1: a

Wihout spaces:

AC:R B7: h B4: i
9B: t B5: s A0: m
B0: T B1: h A1: a
