Got my WaniKani done!
I think probably the most important word I leanedd today is とても, I expect that I’ll be seeing it everywhere.

Wanikani’s done
Today I was finally taught 語. I already learned it long ago, mostly due to it being apart of the word 日本語. It’s nice to have an easy word every now and then ![]()
That was a bizzare experience for me to learn that such a thing exists. I thought, at first, they were making up a new creature, but when I googled it, I couldn’t unsee what I saw ![]()
I don’t want to find this out ![]()
Got more WaniKani done
Uuuuugh I had to do nearly 200 reviews. I can understand it at the beginning of Wanikani, but how are people saying that they’re doing more Japanese studying after Wanikani at this level? I’ve been trying to do more studying afterwards but it’s always lackluster since my ‘studying stamina’ is all used up so to speak.
Do you usually do all the reviews in one sitting? and are the reviews usually that big? ![]()
Yeah, I usually do them all in one sitting. Takes me about an hour usually, though when I get a larger day like today, it’s a bit longer. Typically my pile of reviews is about 130-160.
That’s a lot of reviews ![]()
When I had to do a bit over 100 reviews a couple of days in a row, I had a crashout, because it was just too much. Upon further investigation, I found the problem to be the amount of reivews I do in one sitting. Hence, I try to spread my reviews out over the whole day, per se. What I found more interesting is that doing a huge amount of reviews only destroys me if it’s done at night after a long day at work. If said reviews are done in the morning, then I go through them like a breeze.
Hence, I would recommend experimenting with spreading out the reviews and to see what times work for you better and the amount of reviews done in one sitting that works for you the best ![]()
If you need more insights or tips, never hesitate to let me know and I’ll try to do my best ![]()
I mostly do them in the morning. If I start getting 200 consistently, which seems like a good possibility, then I’ll consider splitting up when I do it or lowering the amount of new words each day.
You can also check how many apprentice items you have and if they are a lot, you can take a day or two break from learning new lessons and try to reduce the number of apprentice items. You can also try to reduce the number of lessons you learn (depending on how many lessons you learn daily) and see if that helps ![]()
Got my Wanikani done.
Hopefully I’ll be able to do a bit of Japanese ff1 today. I’ve got a bit more practice in with sentence structure, so I’m hoping that’ll help me. Most likely though, it’ll just have sentence structure beyond what I’m ready for.
Wanikani’s done!
I really hope that learning these new words will be easier than it seems, but I think I probably won’t get them down for a couple of weeks.
Wanikani’s done
Didn’t do too well today. Got a lot of words wrong. At this rate getting to the next level is going to take awhile, good thing I have the lifetime plan.
Got my Wanikani finished
Had a lot of reviews again today, however I didn’t do as badly as I did yesterday. As a reward one of my new words is another that I already know
It’s 日本語
Wanikani is done!
Yesterday I went to a Japanese restaurant and I spent some time looking around, trying to see what I could understand. One of those things was that a picture said draft beer on it.
Got my Wanikani done!
Today was an okay day, I don’t feel that I did especially good or especially bad. I only got 6 new words today so I guess I’m starting to run out of new words. I still have a good amount of kanji to learn before I level up though.
Wanikani’s done
With all the sentence practice I’ve done, it’s time to do some more ff1. I’ll have to practice more sentence structure at some point, but I think the biggest thing holding me back at the moment is my vocabulary.
Got my Wanikani finished
Didn’t do too well in it, but I think that’s largely because of how late I was up doing final fantasy 1. I was able to make out some sentences, but many of them contained too many words that I don’t know for me to get them right. Which has pretty much been my experience with the book club too.
Wanikani’s done!
At the moment I’m debating if I should spend more time practicing sentences or practicing vocabulary. I know that vocabulary would probably be more useful to me at this moment, but I don’t want to start up another timed flashcard thing. Wanikani is already giving me lots of reviews everyday.
Finished up my Wanikani
Nothing too big to talk about today, although maybe I’ll do some more final fantasy 1 today. I find it interesting how most of the enemies in that game has an english name.
I haven’t posted here in a while but congrats on leveling up to double digits.
