Hey, I have a question about ni no kuni II. Do you need to do the 1 first ? I know the first ni no kuni has a sidekick that speaks some heavy kansai ben,

I actually asked the same question on this forum before starting it
I’ve been told that you didn’t need to, and so far it seems to hold true. I might be missing some references or whatever, but so far the story is holding up on it’s own. If “2” was not in the title, I wouldn’t know it’s a sequel.

I wish I had more free time but this is more or less how it goes…
Days I work:
Wake up 6 AM, do my WaniKani and KaniWani reviews if I can
If I need to charge my car (I get 30 minutes free charge/day) I will either read manga or finish up reviews while waiting
It depends whether I can do my reviews while at work or not…
When I get home I try to keep up with my reviews on the hour at end the day with nothing left. Luckily at level 60 I don’t have many unless I resurrected a whole bunch

Days I don’t work:
Tutoring for 1 hour on Thursdays, focusing on pronunciation and grammar
Play Prince of Tennis Switch game for an hour a week (this would be more, but I have to set my computer/capture card up, play the game while translating it, upload it, then watch the video to go over what I missed, so the whole thing can take anywhere from 2 hours to 6 depending on how much I didn’t know, haha)
Write one journal entry a week
Read NHK news if able

I want to add more grammar practice including Bunpro and finishing Genki II, but I took on more private practice work so my free time is dwindling, and the days I have off I would rather play Fire Emblem and spend with my family and dogs lol
