I’m confused about the treatment of 額 on WK. I see the ‘forehead’ meaning/reading all the time, but WK only teaches it as ‘framed picture’ and doesn’t let me review it as forehead, even if I want to:
Why not have an alternate meaning/reading listed? Or at least an allow for this meaning/reading?

I think there are 3 major meanings, another one being “amount” (with a noticeably different pitch accent pattern).

Yeah, I’d like to be able to review 額 as ひたい。WK gives me the “that’s possible but not what you learned” block, but I don’t see why it couldn’t be a hidden meaning/reading.

I’ve added these to each other’s visually similar list.
There are a few different cases a bit like this where the same kanji can be used to mean two or more separate words. In those cases, we think it’d be confusing to treat both words as if they were the same (by using the same card). Instead we want to treat them as different words but we haven’t yet come up with a good way of distinguishing them in reviews, so for now, we simply added a warning to avoid sanctioning those who type in a different meaning.

I see. So if you all do come up with a way to differentiate these words in reviews, it would be implemented? I still would like to be able to pass the card as ひたい but I suppose you run the (slight) risk of someone typing in ‘framed picture’ for the meaning and ひたい for the reading.

That’s correct, we don’t quite have a solution we’re happy with yet, but once we do, we’ll indeed implement it.

Just light casual reading today and it’s the third different manga just today where I come across 拭く, also 汗拭き (wipes).
Maybe just luck & recency bias but perhaps worth considering an inclusion? This is one of those kanji where the frequency stats (and kanken placement) seem way off.
Edit: right, maybe the problem is picking between ふく and ぬぐう.

Seems a little odd to me that 捜す is taught in level 25 and 探す is taught in level 31. Kind of feels like it should be the other way around, since 捜す is the alternate spelling?

My assumption is that the order is probably based on when the radicals are introduced, but I brought this to content team so they can consider it.

The way Trump is going, might as well add 関税 vocab, seeing that both kanji 関 and 税 are already there.
