That’s pretty much it, left WK a couple of years ago when I had to cut my stay in Japan short, and even though I kept studying some Japanese, I was not learning any new kanji.
Finally, got a lifetime subscription (yay end of year promo), did a reset, and now I’m past my mark from before (and I hope I’m not stopping anytime soon). I plan on taking the JLPT soon and might be thinking of going back to Japan in the (hopefully) not so distant future, this time as a tourist and with a much more decent Japanese level.
Just curious - were you (and/or will you be) in Japan for studying or for work or for family or for something else?
It’s hard enough the first time through WK (and I’m not even close to your current level) - it must have taken quite a lot of determination and effort to reset and slog forward. Keep it up…
I was starting grad school, but mental health said no, so I came back to my country (which was a lucky decision in retrospect, because it was right before corona, so I probably would have ended coming back anyways). I don’t see studying in Japan again as a possibility, but I do intend to visit as a tourist or maybe try working there for a couple of months.
I just did a reset yesterday (two days ago), so I definitely feel the pain of starting over! But congrats on hitting this milestone! Keep up the great work!!
