Weird right? It’s only for a few ones that this happens.
One thing to keep in mind is that IME was designed around using whole sentences. This means if you type in a hiragana on its own it assumes you don’t want a verb. So sometimes it hides kanji that mostly use that hiragana as part of a verb. Which means you are basically getting the adjective/noun kanji for that hiragana. It also by default hides some of the archaic kanji or jinmeiyou kanji readings for hiragana as well.
