Can someone please help me I've made a terrible mistake SOS

Hi all, please help a gal out. I’m going through Tofugu’s learn Japanese guide and everything is going splendidly. I learned Hiragana, yay! So I proceeded to the next step, which was installing a Japanese keyboard through windows. Well, I did it, but somehow all my settings went from English to Japanese. This wouldn’t be a problem if I could read Japanese (which I can’t because I’m a noob). I managed to switch some of it back to English, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to click to switch everything back because I don’t know what anything says! Can some saint please help me out?

Can you access your control panel?
Do you know if your cmd has also changed language?
You can open your cmd by holding Windows + R, then typing cmd.
Then there you can type “control panel”, and it will take you to the Control Panel.

This probably wouldn’t have worked, anyway. If the control panel was changed to some other name, now that I think about it.
From there, there’s an option with an image of the world, the letter A, and 字. That’s language. (I don’t know how it’s called in Japanese, but I could check if necessary.
There, you should be able to select English again.

I was, and it was all in Japanese! BUT I literally just checked the control panel from a side bar (my laptop switches between tablet and traditional PC) and I was able to fix it that way. Thank you for responding though!

No problem.
