Sorry to bother you, but I’m having a small issue with the extension. I loved using it on Chrome, but when I switched to Firefox, I can no longer change the colors of the text.

It opens the MS-Paint Style color picker, and I can choose a color and exit it just fine, but it doesn’t save the color choices in the extension. I’ve tried updating all of the color choices and they all do the same thing, though changing the highlight type still works fine.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, reloading pages - the usual fixes for things like this.

Thank you in advance, take your time.

Hi @StaySafeDontDie, unfortunately that’s an issue from the browser itself. I use the color picker default from the browser and it seems that firefox doesn’t handle it well when it is triggered by an extension.
Also, the extension is outdated on firefox as well, because they stopped supporting the changes I made on the latest versions of the extension (issues related with the migration to Manifest v3 imposed by Google).
Either way, one way you may get around this situation with the color picker is to do the following:

  1. Open the extension on a new tab by right clicking on, for example, the Settings button:
  2. Navigate to Settings and change the colors on the new session of the extension opened directly on the browser

Hope this helps and I apologize for the bad experience with the extension. Please let me know if you have trouble replicating this fix.

Unfortunately I’m limited to the decisions made by Mozilla. The extension on firefox will stay on the outdated version 0.6.6 (even if it says 1.5.0 inside the extension, that’s an old bug) until Mozilla accepts updates using the version 3 of the Extension Manifest.
