Just hit 2000 after the most painful two weeks of reviews thus far. I took a year break without vacation mode at lv 11 and came back to 1000+ reviews. Managed to hammer them out in around 2 weeks, but most of them advanced to Enlightened at that point. I’m just now feeling the repercussions

I haven’t posted in here in a while, since I felt I was barely making any progress with my burns. Then they started to come back in a steady stream and finally, I’ve made it to my next milestone 8000 burns!

9000 burns! I don’t know how many people persevere with this strange slow final stretch of Wanikani where you can go days with no reviews, and if you miss a burn it’s five months before you have another attempt! But having got to this point planning to clear all the burns.
Have been using Anki this year to mop up my final leeches. The 27 new vocab words a few weeks ago means I have a lot more on Guru and Master than I would otherwise have had at this point.

Reached 3000 today! Took me longer than it should have lol but I’ve been picking up the pace, so hopefully I’ll be seeing 4000 before too long
