@TheFlaminMunch and @jprspereira , I’d like to think I’m at least a dark horse candidate with 8864. I mean the Detroit Lions just beat the team with the best record in the NfL, so anything can happen. Maybe you guys will both decide that you have better things to do than learn Japanese. Maybe you’ll become friends and go on a long vacation together.
I’m thinking I won’t get to 9000 burns until at least May of next year. I’m currently at 8864 with 111 items in enlightened and only about 10 reviews a day. So even if those enlightened items are in the ‘ready to be burned’ queue and I get them all correct the next time around, that still only gets me to 8965 burns.

Things are getting pretty exciting! I might be first now, but you have a lot less items that still need to be mastered I very much neglected my timing for the last few items, so I’m excited to see what will happen
Technically you could have mastered everything on January 3rd, 3am GMT, and the first person can have burned everything at June 2nd 1am GMT
Unless someone adds more content jk I love more content

omg omg I got my first burns!! I don’t believe it!! I am much more happy than the situation warrants, but I’ve been thinking that I was NEVER going to burn anything, so yahoo! Pretty much six months into it, as everyone promised.
