I’m an absolute beginner in Japanese and have recently started practicing Kana. I took this paragraph from Japanese Uncovered and wrote it out by hand.
Could anyone give me some constructive feedback on my handwriting? Please overlook the content of the paragraph, as it may contain some semantic or grammatical errors. I’m mainly interested in how the handwriting itself looks overall things like character shape, proportions,
consistency, and whether it looks reasonably natural for a beginner.
Any feedback or suggestions for improvement would be greatly appreciated..!
Pretty reasonable. You forgot the dakuten for ひさしぶり. In the third line I think you mixed up 2 Kana. I expect it should be うれしい instead of うわしい
You left a little extra space between words which I expect you did on purpose because it is all Kana text?
Some minor things you could refine, your こ (a little squished flat) and の (could be “rounder”).I had slight trouble with your ち as well but I’m not too sure why. Maybe put the horizontal line a little higher and a tiny tiny touch longer.
If you want you can differentiate small Kana(一しょう (funny how 一 is your only Kanji ^^) + べんきょう) a little more by making them a touch smaller. E.g. it feels the first アレックス has a smaller ツ compared to the last one.
But like I said these are mostly nitpicks I could read the whole passage without much work.
