starting level one: kanji. When it asks for meaning, no problem. When it asks for Kanji reading it says wrong answer, and yet I am sure it is the right one - the only one given.

meaning = enter
verb = 入る
neither the following are accepted:
にゆう
にゅう
likewise: for 九 neither く, きゅう seem to work …
so what am I doing wrong …

what is kanji reading?
how do I enter in the kanji?

Are you sure that にゅう (small ゆ) isn’t being accepted for 入? Does this happen with kanji that don’t have small や, ゆ, or よ characters in them?
Better yet, can you share a screenshot with the kanji and what you’re trying to input?
Hmm… You mentioned the verb 入る. It got me thinking. Have you been typing にゅうる by any chance?
o.k. I see … so when it is a small や、ゆ、よ。。。I need to type xya, xyu, zyo… and when it is a combination Kyo, etc. …

You don’t need to type the small characters separately. Entering “nyuu” for にゅう should be fine. Entering “niyuu” will give you にゆう and that will be marked wrong.
In this case, you enter either く or きゅう, but not both.
