@seanblue the beginning was hard, due to a few expressions in there that can trip up even (some) natives, with no furigana because why make things simple. Also, the main character is hinting at a lot of things to come, without giving much, for suspense. Looking back at it now that I know what she is talking about, it isn’t so bad, but that means you can’t really rely on context to help your comprehension for that part.
Passed the introduction, things become much easier. After that, there are a few hot spots due to monks talking in Buddhist (大日如来のご慈悲? Don’t mind if I do) or explanations on the reproductive process of an invented species (フクロウシ, works like フクロムシ, but with cows rather than crabs) or other such things, but that wasn’t too bad.
I added 7 words to floflo per page on average for the first 50 pages. The average fell to 5 per page over the first 100 pages (meaning the actual number of added words for those next 50 pages was actually 3 per page).
Overall, I think most of the difficulty is at the beginning, so if you can get through that, the only remaining problem is endurance (that was a loooong book).

Update 9/2 - New SRS Preference + Kanji fix
SRS
- High roller mode - doubles the # of SRS levels an item goes up or down (hope your brain is doing good today)

- Uses: clearing large review queues or reducing overall time spent on SRS

- Disabled on lessons (obviously)
- Definition notes don’t randomly erase (Jesus Christ, finally)
Kanji Tables
- Now shows the correct kanji list instead of the list for… Flowers… I don’t know why it was set to do that…
- Fix: unique, unknown, and benchmark counters now count non-WK kanji correctly

I was considering reading it quickly and then move on, but, reading the opening scene, one (female) character is showing her panties to (I assume) the main character.

It seems like Floflo doesn’t have any tags for that book, but they exist on other book pages. Besides, I meant the tags/genres on MAL, AniList, Wikipedia, etc. That kind of thing.

I would have never thought about checking an anime website… I guess i’ll try that as well from now on.
I was looking on English Wikipedia.
But yeah, checking anime sites tend to be more reliable for this kind of thing.
