Are we really getting 2k kanji, 6k vocab?

And even in the worst case where you don’t count them as separate items (even though I agree that they are different items), you’re still ending up over the advertised 6000 vocabulary words, so no matter how you look at it, the number still stands.

I was quite surprised to see suru verbs being taught as separate items to the nouns themselves. Seems like a complete waste of time and also has the unfortunate side effect of implying that other verbal nouns in WK cannot be used as suru verbs.

In my opinion it would be better to treat them all the same (i.e. only one card). Then, simply knowing the rule that verbal noun + suru creates the verb, you have now produced all the other vocabulary items for free!
