Anecdote showing that the system works

I’ve recently started doing WaniKani again after an approximately 2-year break. I had stopped at level 19 and came back to over a thousand reviews. Sounds daunting, right?
What I expected was to get absolutely everything wrong, but that isn’t entirely true. The only reviews I’m doing correctly are the ones that were left on Master/Enlightened. So the result of every review session is a sad 10-20% correct answers, but the correct answers are almost exclusively Enlightened and Burned.
Just putting this out there cause I thought it was very cool. The categories from Guru through Burned and the criteria for an item to be labeled (whatever those criteria may be) are spot on regarding how human memory, or at least my memory, works.
