If you go to Settings and make sure Enable Advanced Settings is turned on, go into Other advanced settings and then you’ll have the option to set the behaviour of three different special buttons.
You can set these to handle ignoring, undoing, etc.
That I’m not so sure of - I don’t use that setting personally - could you explain what it does in Reorder Omega?

Thank you very much for the guide in working on the #1 question! That really helped

For #2’s Reorder Omega’s “Speed Demon” algorithm, I honestly don’t know either. But when the first time I enabled “Speed Demon” in the browser, the ones I usually get correct answers usually are the first ones that appear first. So maybe “SRS stage, Level, Type”? I guess a better question would be, what would be the setting that will make you burn items faster?
Also, if you want to look into it, the menu text on my e-ink tablet is completely invisible, i’m guessing because of the limited display.
Here is a screenshot from the tablet.
Each of those Action items will show what it does to the queue. Here the highlighted one is “Filter out non-critical items” which is just a filter on the items available in the queue that will get all the items considered critical (that’s what the “Critical” checkbox is for, if you uncheck it the filter keeps non-critical items). The other actions are pretty self-explanatory as well.
@Joeni since you asked how it’s working, it’s the above with the following additional info on what ‘critical’ means to the script:
The critical filter works by determining whether an item is critical to leveling up or not; it’s a very simple check that the item is a current level non-vocab item that has not been guru’d yet (probably needs to be tweaked to check for <= current level with all the content movements that are happening, I’ll make a note to perhaps submit a pull request to Omega to address that).
Hello and good day. Just switched to SD today, and I noticed that the lessons are presented in the “default” order.
Ever since WK implemented the “Batch, please” function that randomizes the lesson order I have taken quite a liking to that feature, but this is not in SD currently.
I’m not sure if anyone has asked for this before, but is it possible to implement this feature as well into the app? How hard will it be?
So uh, with LupoMikti pointing out Reorder Omega’s properties, would it be possible by chance that it would also be added in Smouldering Durtles by chance @Joeni?
I can’t get SD to give me notifications like the old app did whenever I have new items to review. Is there a way to set that up?
I also don’t see a way to make it so that it will only display a max of X new items per day like the website does- instead it shows all ~ 50 or whatever possible new items when I unlock a new chunk of vocab, which is unrealistic to learn in a day and prevents me from 0/0ing it. Is there a way to set that up either? I would still like the ability to manually go and do over the X new items limit (e.g. learning all the radicals at once) if possible
SD predates the “Today’s Lessons” feature and the Lesson Picker, so those have not been implemented; thus it will always show you all available lessons (and it’s been an open feature request for the picker functionality).
One could argue that only getting the “today’s” count down to zero isn’t 0/0 but that’s really up to personal preference. In any case, the solution is to just do the daily amount you want, there’s no reason to have 0/0 every day only at some point.
I’m not sure about the notifications though, sorry, I never used that feature.
I finished WK, relying heavily on Flaming Durtles app on Android.
Currently looking to review specific Levels and selected Kanji and Vocab with SRS.
I could set up Anki decks, but want to know if Smouldering Durtles (or any other app) can do this.
I’d like to:
-select a WK level and generate SRS for it
-select specific Kanji and/or Vocab and generate SRS for them
Item Inspector has been fixed for the recent rash of problems. I know because I am the author of Item Inspector and I do the fixing. If you disable your other problematic scripts you should be able to get item Inspector to work. Item Inspector works for me in Chrome. You shouldn’t need to switch browsers.
An export to Anki or Kitsun will generate a SRS for the selection.
That is strange. My scripts are running on Chrome with Tampermonkey without a problem.
The only thing I can think of is the scripts may be disabled on the Tampermonkey dashboard. You must enable them one by one on the dashboard.
You will need the prerequisite scripts as well. to run Item Inspector.
Additional Filters
Self-Study Quiz
.Edit: Try update the scripts to the most recent version.
Edit2: Do you see error messages in the Chrome console? To display the console. press F12 when viewing the Wanikani page. Scratch that. I saw your console in your previous post. Nothing meaningful to Item Inspector shows there.
Edit3: Have you tried to update Tampermonkey to the most recent version?
Fixed by uninstalling Tampermonkey, restarting, then reinstalling the latest version.
I exported/re-imported my TM data via their Utility.
Had to turn off all other WK scripts except for Open Framework, Open Framework Additional Filters, WK Item Inspector, and WK Self-Study Quiz.
Interestingly, I couldn’t find a way to update TM from within their site nor via the Extension. Could only “Remove from Chrome” and then install via Manage Extensions.
I don’t currently need any of the other scripts I have, so I’ll leave them off rather than test to see which break it again.
Again, I’m very grateful for your help. We’re lucky to have you here.
I know it’s rude - but is there an “import settings from FD” option? Happy to do it by hand if not, I presume there aren’t many of us FD users still around. I’ve only just discovered SD to my shame, looking forward to the new shiny things.
