@Mods Discourse recently updated to combine the “New” and “Unread” tabs into a single “New” tab that includes both combined. Personally, I find this really annoying and inconvenient, as every morning I click “New”, do a quick skim of the titles, and then almost always dismiss them all. With the new view, this is requires extra steps. Introducing the unified new view for the topic list - Announcements - Discourse Meta explains the change and how to revert back to the old view if you would like to consider doing so.
Hah, I was thinking of commenting on that too. It’s also changed the behaviour of the Suggested topics list at the bottom of the page - it used to list old threads with new replies first and then new threads, but now they’re intermingled. I prefer the old behaviour, because I leave new threads that I want to pay attention to unread until I’ve dealt with the new-replies threads, to remind me to pay attention to it when I have sufficient time.
I think maybe the update rolled last night after I had dismissed all the new topics and then was about to look at my unread threads. I thought I had accidentally dismissed my unread threads when I couldn’t find the unread tab anymore
That’s what happened?? I thought I was going crazy cause I didn’t see my two tabs anymore but couldn’t remember what both were called to express why I was now annoyed!
