Active recall for Writing

Hi Amazing people,

I am currently early in my journey towards insanity on this website from what I’ve heard . I was wondering if anyone could direct me on how to practice writing recall of words so when i would like to say something in kanji i can think of the kanji and write it, instead of currently - only recognising meanings when visually seeing and interpreting the Kanj.

Thanks, I hope to aspire to level 60 soon!! (long way to go  )

I am answering this partly to bump it up in the cue so someone with more experience focusing on writing will chime in. Wanikani isn’t designed to teach writing. I personally write the kanji that I have trouble remembering or that I mistake for another similar Kanji and I use Kanjidict if I need the stroke order. There are tons of programs for learning to write the kanji. Maybe someone can recommend one they use and like.
