Personal Opinion
I have read the series (it finishes after 2 volumes) and enjoyed the short chapters and a lot of vocabulary from daily life. It is very cute and funny at times, a nice light read.
Pros and Cons for the Book Club
Pros
- the format, the chapters are less than 10 pages long
- the vocabulary is simple and at the same time many useful expression and vocab, great for first time readers
- the plot is already known so you can focus on the language learning
- if you enjoyed it, you can read one more volume and have completed a series
Cons
- the title is very long and scary
