I enjoyed your observations on this one
I don’t read it, but I also appreciate that so much I always page through this one just for the art.

I enjoyed your observations on this one
I don’t read it, but I also appreciate that so much I always page through this one just for the art.
There was some interruption due to holiday and whatnot, but I’ve just finished the issue and wrote my thoughts on everything I read (which was most of it)
I’ll be starting on issue 77 soon. If I keep going at this rate I probably won’t catch up haha
I read your thoughts! One thing that I like about the club is when the same series strikes people differently. I haven’t really connected with ハクメイとミコチ so far so I ended up skipping it because it’s a little difficult for something that I’m not loving. But maybe I’ll try it again later.
I’m barely keeping pace with one issue a month
I won’t fall further behind, but also won’t catch up at this pace. Basically just treading water. I’m trying to focus on novel reading more this year, so maybe next year I’ll try to start actually catching up.
True, should start recommending baseball manga to everyone who complains about WK baseball words from now on. I still don’t know any of the rules of baseball though, beyond, like, they hit the ball and run around.
Also check out my post for catchup on volumes outside of the issues
Reserving this space for my Harta 77 thoughts
The cover story for this issue was really cute and fun
Hm, the artwork is nice, not sure if there’s much else to say other than I’m not a huge fan of the age gap. I didn’t find this chapter offensive or anything like that, and I’ll probably keep reading it, but not super convinced by it yet
I think I’m starting to get the premise of this one a little better - it’s a romcom between an artist and a model. This chapter showed him getting to know her better when she offers to cook so he can focus on an upcoming deadline and he takes inspiration and produces a piece of work that goes down well. I wasn’t quite expecting the nudity on the first few pages (and what was with the fish?) but given the premise of the previous manga in this issue, there could be much worse
Another fun chapter, but does feel a bit like this one doesn’t have much legs in terms of where it can go. It does feel a bit like this one was treading some of the same ground as the first and not sure how long that will continue to be fun
This was a hard read, lots of very formal vocab that I haven’t really seen before. Still, interesting concept. I’m interested to see where they go with it
昴とスーさん - skip, I’ll maybe catch up… I started reading a bit on the Bookwalker one chapter a day thing. I’m pretty sure I should be able to read up to the right chapter without an issue (other than being patient enough to keep going)
Looks like this is a oneshot that is based on a previous serialisation that only ran a few issues. No real troubles with following the story (besides being a bit confused by what was even being depicted at the start). The idea of having different masks with different powers was kind of fun
東京城址女子校生 - skip because I want to read it all
咲 was kind of fun I guess. Not really much to say on this one
This one was pretty, and had a nice little story. Looking forward to seeing more in future
This gave me a few sensible chuckles, fun chapter. Much prefer this to the other 4コマ in the magazine at the moment (紙一重りんちゃん)
Another fun chapter - some fun moments like 李々 telling 平坂 that it seemed like he and 雫 would campaign for the lifting of the ban on medical cannabis lmao. Also the double page spread of 李々 whacking the zombie with the bat was great and really emphasised the hit
Sweet chapter. The double page spreads with 麟太郎 looking out the train window and his dad looking back were stunning. Looks like this one is wrapping up soon though
The little aside on altitude sickness was fun, and the presentations about the north and south alps
Beautiful again. Laika feeling betrayed at all of the other dogs being fine with the humans and turning into a giant cosmic beast was really well done. Was thinking this would go hard as a movie if it ever gets adapted. The double page spreads and large panels around the destructive rampage was also very nicely done
I’m still loving this manga. I should really go ahead and read the first two chapters. 寿子 was a nice character, and she (I’m assuming) knew アンリ’s teacher and had come to check on her which was sweet. And the ultimate conclusion of アンリ going to her friends and getting help with her issue was nice too. It also felt like it was an issue relevant to being a young working professional, delivered in a way that adults are able to appreciate
The explanation of the process of narrowing down where a certain rock can be found was genuinely quite interesting and something I hadn’t really considered before. I love learning new stuff
九国のジュウシ - temporary skip since I’m currently catching up. I’ll come back to this later. UPDATE: no longer a skip because I caught up ![]()
十四郎 going back to the forest and then realising it’s kind of boring was so real. Meanwhile there’s more politicking going on. Definitely glad I caught up because I’m able to understand who all the different families etc are
不死の猟犬 - skip, it’s too deep in. 佐藤栄子(32)はヒーローになれたのか by the same mangaka is fun so far, so maybe I should try this one from the start at some point
ヴラド・ドラクラ - skip, I want to catch up, will return when I do
The title page for this one was awesome, very pulpy
I’m not really sure what’s going on and who’s who, so I’ll probably give this one a miss until I get around to checking it out from the start.
Does seem like there’s some gonzo action here, so probably a quite fun one
Lesbian running manga is not something I thought I’d be into but here we are. This one was mostly about the character drama and I enjoyed that.
Actually a much better chapter than the previous one. I actually knew what was going on here. Turns out it’s a Romeo and Juliet type story with two feuding houses and star-crossed lovers. Except they want to heal the rift with the power of beer. The central thrust of this chapter was bringing ヴィル on side, and that was done well enough. I also quite enjoyed the explanation of making beer
Man this was cool, I really liked the last chapter too. Bums me out that this seemingly has never been collected anywhere because I doubt I’ll ever get to read the earlier chapters. The panel where ニーノ is dying over and over was brutal but also really cool - the way it implied the repetition was well done. I also just like the general occult vibes - like マイ getting folded into a paper plane, and the visual of the room being within the guy’s eye. Really looking forward to the next chapter now
Against my better judgment I read this, despite having been fairly negative on previous chapters. It’s a 4コマ and fairly short so wasn’t too much of an investment. Surprisingly I didn’t mind it? Maybe I was just more on the wavelength of the humour this time, but there were some decent gags
碧いホルスの瞳 - skip, maybe I’ll read it one day
福引き怨霊生活 - skip, I’ll read it in the volume release at some point
ダンジョン飯 - skip, because I want to read it all
峠鬼 - skip, still need to catch up (and probably will start working on it soon)
Very weird premise for a story. Can’t say I particularly cared for it overall
ニコラのおゆるり魔界紀行 - skip, because I want to read the whole thing
I continued to be baffled and yet compelled by this manga. I think I’ll start skipping going forwards until such a time as I get around to reading from the start
This moved like a horror but subverted it and was actually a sweet little tale in the end. The little stain just wanted to not be lonely, and didn’t want the dad to be lonely either ![]()
This one had some fun action. Still not entirely following what’s going on
Yeah I think I’m just going to start skipping this one going forward, not getting much out of it. Feels like it’s banking on me already knowing and liking the characters, and the chapters are so short I can’t get to know them
This formed a nice arc with the previous chapter. Felt great to see 日比野 win. I really need to read the rest of this series.
Does anything ever happen in this manga? Think I’ll start skipping this one because it’s just so damn boring
ふしぎの国のバード - skipping until I catch up
About what I expect from this series now. One for the foot fetishists I suppose. Not me
I think this is the first chapter where I feel like I might’ve got more out of it had I been more familiar with earlier chapters. It was still a sweet chapter in the end, and it had the characteristic ハクメイとミコチ charm. Ironically it’s probably the one that most heavily features the titular characters in the issues thus far. I do now have the volumes to start catching up with the series, it’s just a matter of time
The article in this one was pretty interesting, and a nice follow-up to the last one. This time discussing the idea that the universe is infinite and thus, somewhere probably very very far away, there must exist another version of you. It’s a fascinating concept, and I found it fun to learn about in Japanese. I got to find out that 乗 can mean “to the power of” (although it’s used as a suffix unlike the phrase “to the power of”). Also found out that ケタ refers to the amount of digits a number has

Yep!
… Her name is just メイ though! I imagine you doublechecked her name by looking back at the first chapter where her uncle introduces her as his niece (姪っ子)?
It’s a gag cultural reference. She says she’s just going to go check on the field, and according to the ever-useful Pixiv Encyclopedia, a phrase like this is a stereotypical sign that someone is going to die, apparently originating from real life news report verbiage for fatalities during natural disasters which tend to involve old people who went outside to check on (and work to safeguard) their field. It’s used here as a tongue in cheek shorthand for the well-known fictional equivalent, where a character finds themselves in a strange or unsettling situation and goes off alone to investigate it, thereby ending up killed by whatever it turns out to be. Hence the other character (Mikoto)'s reaction (roughly “that’s what someone who’s going to die says!” in so many words…).
She teased a reaction out of her by only implying they try kissing and she’s reacting that she got the reaction she expected out of her, like roughly “Ha, I knew that’s all it would take to get your imagination going!”
Xだけある is a grammar point meaning that X like, strongly implies some other comment would be expected. The usage here feels maybe a bit looser than the dictionary examples, but the gist is that Mikoto 想像しちゃう’s (can’t help but imagine), and so of course she’d get embarrassed.
A really nice story to reread! ![]()
Finished with Harta #79!
Heads up that there’s a sale/coinback promotion on a lot of Kadokawa stuff on Bookwalker, which includes most Harta stuff as a result. Good time to pick up volumes of stuff to catch up on!
Harta 77 finished

Felt like a pretty nothing chapter, I have to be real. A lot of time spent on (I am assuming) the main character doing nothing, playing with whales, and eating. Honestly, what a waste of a first chapter. There was some lovely artwork, the double page spreads were nice, but we could’ve spent time establishing the actual premise of the narrative
Cute little story about making star jam. I enjoyed it. Could almost make me believe that it’s a real thing with how detailed the recipe was
This was a nice little opening chapter. Hints at there being more to discover about ジュン which I’m sure will come up in future chapters. And アードルフ and クスタ are both fun, being somewhat inversions of the other (one being affable on the outside but strong-willed internally, while the other has a prickly exterior but is a real softy inside)
Cute little chapter. The natsumatsuri was a nice setting
Yeah I don’t know about this one. I kind of want to keep reading just to see where it ends up going but at the same time I can’t say I particularly like the implications of the story. Like can the future change at all? And 紫 very much seems invested in that not happening if it could. I suspect I won’t have much to comment on specifically on most chapters going forwards if I do keep reading it. I’ll have to shake my head while I’m reading so people know I don’t agree with it
I wasn’t big on the chapters in the last few issues, but this one went back to the investigation thing from like 3 chapters back so felt a bit more substantial. The guy getting taken in by the police at the end as a suspect of murder blindsided me too, and now I am kind of interested in seeing that resolved
So this is how I learned that ナプキン can also refer to sanitary pads. And that 便所飯 is a thing? Anyway, the artwork was interesting here - there was kind of an uneasy feeling that pervaded a lot of this oneshot and I think the artwork contributed. It made a lot of things feel dirty, if that makes sense? Overall felt pretty distinctive as a oneshot and left quite a few questions open that have me pondering it after finishing
Man 春宮 kind of sucks huh. Though it seems like he’s lashing out because the body-double he knew as a child and was good friends with died and he doesn’t want the same thing to happen to another. At least, that’s what I got from the flashback. Meanwhile the body-double was able to navigate a tricky encounter with a messenger from 春宮’s brother, 冬宮, who wanted to push the narrative that 春宮 was sickly and thus unfit for the throne. Love a good bit of politicking and court drama so I quite enjoyed this chapter. The body-double being able to convince the messenger that he was healthy because he saw the real 春宮 acting like a petulant child was fun
Genuinely laugh out loud hilarious. The joke where it seems like 李々 is about to ask if 雫 has feelings for her and then it bait and switches with her actually thinking she’s trying to turn her vegetarian was great. Then there was ビースト’s bit at the start where she thought the prayer room was a “player” room (for having sex) was fun. Also れんれん using business speak that ended up just being half English words. Oh and 入江 stonewalling ビースト and seemingly savaging a zombie with a screwdriver. 入江 in general seems like there’s more to him that we’re going to find out sooner or later
I love how distinctive and colourful our cast of characters has been so far, and the humour has been great. I’m also happy to see that 雫 is holding feelings for 李々 and it’s not all 100% straight stuff. It obviously isn’t made explicit, but it’s quite clear from the subtext
This was really fun. I wish this could’ve been a series unto itself, I enjoyed all 3 of the little shorts we got
I think after this chapter I should definitely know what 効率化 means. 瑠璃 figuring out a way to make their process more efficient by herself was nice, and I like that we get into the nitty gritty (pun intended) of the process too. I feel like reading this series (and Dr Stone soon) will help get some more scientific terms etc into my vocabulary
Cute. Some funky 関西弁 in here though, but nothing I couldn’t handle ultimately.
I said I’d probably start skipping these, but this one looked like it had a bit more going on and it was actually kind of a nice chapter. There was some lovely artwork of the rainy countryside and bonus points for frog
アンリ’s brother comes back home and worries about アンリ. Another lovely chapter from this manga. I also went back and caught up on the first two chapters before reading this. Loving this series so far. Also fun little bit of English at the end
Lesbians can run faster? Is this like how trans people can double jump? Hmm, very interesting
Benefits of the manga being short is that every chapter feels so meaningful and like a turning point in the story. We’ve passed ライカ’s revenge and now we’re seeing ライカ realise that maybe holding that grudge against the entirety of humanity isn’t so possible when she’s face to face with people who she has no real reason to hate
Another exciting and action heavy chapter. I’m still not sure why they’re travelling or where to, but I enjoy reading this anyway. Maybe I should pick it up from the start…
Hm, felt like it didn’t really go in as much as I would’ve liked on how obsessive and creepy the behaviour of the main character actually was. Like it feels like there’s supposed to be a parallel drawn between him doing the necromancy to bring her back vs the AI but it doesn’t quite feel like there’s enough of a bite. Like the AI recreation is obviously not quite right, but it also doesn’t feel like that’s an issue with how the story ends? I wanted to like this one because the initial premise was interesting but I came out quite lukewarm
紅椿 - skipped, cba with this at the moment
I found it funny at a couple of points, didn’t really care for most of it though. Seems like the last one was a fluke
十四郎 and his new retainer get off on the wrong foot. Some fun, and an interesting reason for pairing the two of them together
不死の猟犬 - skipped, but I did go and read this month’s 佐藤英子 chapter and it was alright (quite light on content though)
碧いホルスの瞳 - skipped
Fun
極東事変 - skip, I’ll catch up at some point
ダンジョン飯 - skip, want to read all at once
昴とスーさん - skip, working on catching up
I really should go and read this from the beginning, this was a crazy chapter. The mother felt quite threatening and seemed like a fairly pivotal moment for the story. I don’t really have much of an idea on what’s going on though
福引怨霊生活 - skip, I’ll get around to it at some point
東京城址女子校生 - skip, want to read it all at some point
It’s more archery, I enjoyed it. I liked the bit where the guy imagines a dragonfly
Pretty short and insubstantial but points for cats
To be honest I’m not sure why I’m still reading this one, but the beer brewing is kind of compelling. I did not expect there to be a full on sex-scene in the first few pages though. Nothing scandalous or anything, but still. Things are feeling very Romeo and Juliet with this
峠鬼 - skip, working on catching up
Nice ending, even though I only read the few chapters in the issues so I don’t quite have the full picture. Still, his dad showing up did elicit some level of emotion so clearly the mangaka was doing something right
The article from 山本直樹 was pretty interesting - talking about 足立正生, a left-wing avant-garde film director. Doing some further reading about him is pretty interesting. I have to say, I’m finding these articles to be something of a highlight, I’m always looking forward to seeing what the next topic will be. I did tune out a little towards the end, because there were a lot of names and I didn’t want to go and look them all up individually
Highlights from this issue:
catch-up corner for manga I’m reading outside the issue format ![]()
None this issue!
I didn’t vibe with the art style that much on this one but it was cute enough and had a nice message about what’s more valuable than things.
Oh… it was short! I recognized this one from the art as being from the same author as 向かいの彼女 from a few issues ago. I liked this one a little better, but it was quite short so not much time to enjoy the story. The previous discussion about the ending was also helpful.
Don’t bully people (or aliens) because you never know… I liked how this one shot was unique and different from the oneshots I’ve read so far in the comic.
The little dude in this looked a lot like the characters from Bone.
Basically just an excuse to dress the main character up in lots of cute outfits. Can’t fault that I guess.
We learned another crumb of backstory about our mysterious boy and he started learning to cook Finnish food. Wonder when they’ll stop being snowed in and get some guests?
I’ve started saving this one for last as a treat. The ending was pretty much as expected, there was no way they were going to get rescued that easily
Now to see what the next hijinks are.
Wondered the same thing reading this chapter.
Aw, yay, she made a friend! This was a touching chapter, and I was also excited because I understood the Gon Kitsune reference. Reading Aozora pays off ![]()
I thought this chapter was sweet and deepened the relationship of the two leads. I have a friend who really liked this manga and I think I see what they liked about it.
The clumsy servant character was cute but so far this manga isn’t leaving a big impression on me.
This series is alright, the sexualization of the characters gets a bit old when it’s just a normal scene. In the last chapter when リュウ wasn’t home I thought she had been murdered, but no, she’s just in jail for forbidden romance. I guess ジョー will have to meet the human dude and go on a journey of discovery where she realizes humans are not so different after all.
I confess I didn’t read the last few chapters all that carefully (there are some historical vocab lookups) but this is another one I’m excited to read from the beginning sometime. I like this kind of historical manga!
The art is so cheerful and nice, and the story in this chapter was touching! I also like the history theme! I will come back to this manga and read the whole thing sometime, gotta know how their club all began. ![]()
Goodbye to this series! I will return to it later to read from the beginning. For now I’ve actually decided to read an older series by the author, エマ, since that one is complete.
Done with issue #80! I should probably do some more reading of series I want to catch up on, like 昴とスーさん, but it’s tempting to just keep forging ahead with the main issues.
I’ve been skimming the 夜の名前を呼んで chapters but I’m not at a part I haven’t read yet.
The dialogue in this series is specific and Kansai enough that I think really getting anything out of it is めちゃすごい and quite an achievement in and of itself!
I really appreciated the excuse to go back and read this chapter through again patiently! I definitely think I got a lot more out of it than I did the first time (4 years ago…!) and I sure do love the series…
Yes, you can chalk this one up just to reading in bits in a magazine (and in a foreign language to boot) but Watano is the new crush target introduced at the end of the first chapter:
and who got brought up again a couple pages before this one (in a way meant to jog the reader’s memory too):
(I wouldn’t say it’s actually important to remember his name though)
Throughout the chapter and in this page, Atami is struggling internally with still kind of having feelings for Adachi and wondering what Adachi thinks about the whole thing all while still enjoying spending time with him, so here he’s basically wondering idly if Adachi bringing up Watano is maybe a sign of any interest after all, but that prospect is presumably indeed over, he’s just having feelings about it is all.
I would say roughly this is saying like - Even though Atami is telling himself Adachi’s just being nice, he can’t help but like him (and/or enjoy the kindness from him) and so he remains very unsettled internally. (I would say the narration smoothly involves the ellipses balloon, like “まだ全然 [panel of Atami clearly pondering in frustration/turmoil]な感じの熱海くん”)
For the laundry, it’s 9:30 on a Saturday morning and his dad just left to go off to do whatever, so I assume his dad probably started the laundry, and now it happened to finish right when he was about to change into the new day’s clothes (which he has done in the next panel).
For the mattress situation… it really is a tiny detail but I think this panel:
Regardless, it’s a matter of opinion certainly, and Atami’s living situation and relationship with his dad as depicted here are really very sad either way, but for what it’s worth I’d maybe comment from experience that a divorced dad and teenage son of this kind of personality type are probably unlikely to register something like a not ideal sleeping situation as a problem…
This is one of those many bits of dialogue in this series where I do surprise myself on how little I actually for sure get what it’s ultimately saying, even if I get its role in the story/dialogue fine, and I went back and forth on a few different interpretations, but I think I settled on one I feel pretty good about, which I would roughly translate as like “Well, one doesn’t tend to wave in that situation right, I dunno”, like as in Atami is excitedly relating that his crush noticed and waved just to him and asking what Adachi thinks, and Adachi is giving a non-commital but encouraging response like “Well I guess it could be a good sign, people don’t usually wave in that situation (so maybe it is special) I guess”
I think anyway…
The literally words would mean to me like “Well, there/in that situation, on the whole, I presume [subject] doesn’t wave, どうもこうも”
But there’s a lot of bits in there where it’s easy to second-guess what exactly I think they’re referring to.
After some back and forth and searching around, I felt that 全体的には is used like “on the whole” and the usage of どうもこうも here is signaling he’s giving a noncomittal answer to being asked what he thought (like, “one way or another”/ I don’t feel strongly about how I got here, but here’s what I think).
So I think it ends up trickier for us just since he’s giving the kind of answer you give when you really don’t have an opinion but want to respond positively to the person asking you. Which ends up being here I figure roughly the phrased-in-a-Japanese equivalent of maybe like “Yeah I guess it is something he waved at you there, I suppose”
And so it’s a funny chapter closer since it’s probably not actually an especially noteworthy situation to get waved at, but their contrasting demeanors is amusing and it’s enjoyable that the worries of the chapter haven’t affected their dynamic together.
(Could still be wrong of course!)
I did end up just rereading through the entirety of the first volume… Once again, I really appreciate the catalyst!
Thank you for the detailed response! Your research on mattress toppers was very illuminating.
And also your interpretation of the last speech bubble of the chapter is really helpful.
I’m hoping to get called back to this chapter myself again someday in the future when someone else gets to it for the first time!
Same here, but it makes for way more fun with all the relationship nonsense given that the potential pairings are even higher
Waver(s) by the same author now has a great buddy dynamic between two female leads too
Oh no, I think I missed a chapter and I keep forgetting to read
Maybe I’ll jump back in with the current chapter.
catch-up corner for manga I’m reading outside the issue format ![]()
None this issue!
six oneshots issue! ![]()
I was annoyed with this one when it started because it seemed too sweet and gooey, but then it took a darker turn which helped somewhat. In the end it did kind of turn back towards sentimental, oh well. I don’t really care for overly cozy librarian-bait type stories where it’s all about a magical library and how wonderful books are plus tugging on the heartstrings, guess I’m just too jaded ![]()
This one didn’t really land for me. I checked everyone else’s comments to make sure I wasn’t alone
I thought the author was expecting we would have some kind of 感動 but that never happened, actually most of the time I was just trying to figure out what the author was even getting at. Oh well.
I found myself not really liking the art style (felt a bit amateur) and feeling like the story here wasn’t as cohesive as it wanted to be. I didn’t like the appearance of the ‘ideal self’ illusion, because it seemed confusing visually for the protagonist’s ideal self to be a busty adult woman, and not just another version of her. I think if the ideal self had looked like the protagonist but wearing a different outfit or something, it would have been more clear what was going on. Oh well!
It was ok, had an unnecessary panty shot. We’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel with these quirky girl characters who break the protagonist out of their 真面目 shell, this one felt like ‘oh yes she’s quirky, so quirky that she [spins wheel] homelessly lives in a hut and [spins wheel] raises random dogs. Don’t think about it too hard!’
I felt like this was a really strong debut and the artist had a great grasp of style and atmosphere. Seemed like a story about identity as an artist and whether your image gets away from you into something you can’t control.
Oh wow that was really good!! My favorite of the one-shots by far. I liked the art style and the story was really well done and came together really well. I also liked the dark elements! I got a bit worried that I wouldn’t especially like any of the one-shots in this issue after striking out on a few of them, but whew, we’re safe.
Idek why I keep reading this series, as soon as I start enjoying a chapter the character that randomly grabs ppls ass shows up
Ok I actually enjoyed this chapter! Besides the friend character slapping her ass for no reason, that’s two chapters with random ass grabbing or spanking in this issue ![]()
Anyways, I actually liked her obsession with the author guy’s book and how she genuinely likes it and wants other people to read it and discuss it with her, but then she’s disappointed when someone just pretends to read it to have a chance at going out with her. Actually had some moments like that myself in college when I thought I was discussing a book with someone but then they’d be like wowwww it’s so cool how enthusiastic you are
and I’d be like were you even listening?? Let’s get back to the plot of the book?? Haha ![]()
Addressing workplace treatment of women through the medium of shoes!
Oh wow, a serious chapter! Usually this manga is chill, so I’m expecting they’ll find him in time, but I suppose it could also be the other way around and our characters would have to grapple with their emotions.
Aaahhhhh that chapter was so good!! Got a few good jokes in, so much action, and Riri was so cool!
Oh, we’ve met the human dude who was worth breaking mermaid law for. He didn’t charm me that much, I thought he was kind of just like an uglier Milo from Atlantis. I liked the two page spread with all the sea creatures a lot though.
Kotori gets to experience a restaurant! This chapter was cute. Even if I’m not a sheltered rich girl, I relate to the stress of not knowing the 頼み方 at a new restaurant/cafe ![]()
Cute! It’s nice to wrap up a series, even if I didn’t catch most of it. Wonder what will debut next!
Make that all four volumes! I think I needed that…
Good motivation to make sure to pick up the fifth volume once it comes out in a week or so too.
Spoiler thoughts!
Ok I just got back to reading this series and finished this volume!
In the last chapter, it’s revealed that Subaru has age-regressed multiple times. From my math, it seems to be three times. Except, the first two times he regressed he didn’t keep any memories from before, but this time he did!
What’s different this time?? I think that means there’s definitely some kind of ‘key’ to breaking the spell, maybe having to do with his emotional development or his relationship with Mio? Is there something he needs to do/accomplish in order to grow up, or some kind of turning point? Many questions remain!
いろいろあった and I didn’t get around to finishing the notes for a bit, but here’s April’s Harta!
Issue #81 finished! Overall I really enjoyed it, probably my standouts were 生き残った6人 as usual, ホテル・メッツアペウラ (surprisingly serious!) and the oneshot 人魚のムニエル。The drawings from the Dungeon Meshi author in the back were really cute even if I don’t know all the characters yet.
Edit: browsing the TOC for 82, what’s this?
Third limited reprinting plan? ![]()
