Incidentally - I didn’t make an entry for it but I also read the Famitsu issue with a Dungeon Meshi cover story. The main draw for me was an interview with Ryoko Kui herself talking about her history with games, from watching her dad play Wizardry to getting into games in a big way after starting with them again as research for Dungeon Meshi.
There was also an interview with the a couple of Studio Trigger people that are working on the show making me additionally trust its in good hands. The director said he’d been reading Harta before Dungeon Meshi debuted, so he approached it from the start as a cool new Ryoko Kui ongoing! I can only imagine how cool that would feel to eventually work on adapting a series discovered that way.
I was impressed overall with the magazine’s game coverage too, although the fan content and injokes seemed a little impenetrable.
