yeah. that seems to resonate with Zen practice: always in the now. If we accept our failing as it is, not filtering it through the veil of good or bad etcs we can find peace in whatever steps we are making. this is quite true with my experience recently.
At the beginning of this month, I only intended to level up to 36 before Lunar New Year (it’s coming in two days), so I didn’t push myself too much. I was just happily and peacefully doing reviews, and even stopped taking lessons when I felt I was rushing. Then I leveled not only to 36 but to 37 (even 4 days ahead of my goal xD)
The rush to finish review sessions everytime I start is still there. But praciticing the zen mindset helps me relieving these rushes and giving in my full effort. I don’t care about finishing, I care about the progress that I’m into it, then the work just somehow finishes, with less time than if I was rushing. There’s even a book called The Practicing Mind that furthers this idea (actually I learned the concept of slowing down from this book)
