I gave up on bunpro N2 halfway through after going through N5-N3 in a little over a year without too much trouble. I find the bunpro review format really difficult to use for advanced grammar because it often asks for something you have half a dozen way of expressing but it’s looking for a very precise nuance and it’s very frustrating and in my opinion not very productive.

I found it very useful for basic grammar but I dropped it completely for advanced stuff, I basically just look up at specific lessons from time to time if I want to look up something specific.

oh nooo that was never my intention xddd

I understand why I made you think this way with that excerpt:

but this is absolutely not what happened xddd
we are absolutely free to use any resources over the course and “test” was just an overexaggeration from my side, we have worksheets that we do in the classes and the actual 薔薇 flex looked something closer to this xdddd

That’s an example of a handout we do every week, we get a text that we’re supposed to READING COMPREHEND and at the end of the worksheet there are more open-ended questions, so that’s what the 薔薇 was for. I have it in the list of favorites now, so I just took my phone, opened my favorites, and there it was xddd

FOR REAL
I NO LONGER REMEMBER IF IT’S せずを得ない OR せずに得ない OR せざるを得ない OR し得ない AND I JUST HAD THIS GRAMMAR LIKE THIRTY MINUTES AGO

my retention with bunpro n2 with n3/4 leeches is absolutely nowhere xddd

I’ll still try powering through it, we’ll see where I go.

My pleasure, I still haven’t finished hyperfixating over this year’s edition xddddd

I already expressed my feelings on Bunpro above, so I’ll try a little longer and we’ll see if I can still persist without generating ghosts left and right. But another 1h20m today :sob:

I was so happy when I got this one right first try though, because it’s been on Ghost 1 for too long:

finally  :folded_hands:

But I wonder, is Bunpro and WaniKani and Satori Reader just things that are sold off under the promise of “ooh you’ll learn japanese with us!” and at one point in time they just become your japanese study instead of helping you to make your actual study? I’ve definitely fallen too low there, I know that the right thing to do is Italki, native level Japanese YouTube channels, light novels, novels, manga, getting inspired by Malinkal, but this is not a conversation for today, I need to turn my brain off sometimes as well xddd

Meanwhile,

i’m like 90% not dyslexic, but there are some words in English that just get me, where I stare at a word like it’s the most precious thing to me after korean fried chicken not being able to comprehend where the mistake is… and then seeing a correct spelling of the word and going back to the screenshot and going like “i really wrote it that way??? wtf??? how come i would misspell it so bad” xdd

also:

:sob:

also:

okay, there is a thing i might treasure more than korean fried chicken xddddd

German

me

me

Today we talked about how Bio-Lebensmittel or things made of sustainable materials, like bamboo, might not be all that environmentally friendly, and we had a debate on whether milk or plant-based alternatives are better for the environment. Because milk is my absolute favorite thing on Earth (sorry korean fried chicken, sorry edamame), I did the devil’s advocate talking about the transport costs from America vs local farmers producing milk, the different enzymes necessary for the plant alternatives, how much water is used up (and not 100% recycled!) in order to produce plant drinks, and I had a few people back me up, but yeah, my German has its limits and I can only be so deceitful as well xddd :sob:

Team milk though, but I’m glad oatmilk exists as an alternative ^^

Life

I had a pretty short sleep today, blame it on Bunpro yester…poor time management xddd

Me and my mom have been planning a trip for the bank holiday this weekend, I’m taking a train to Poland on Thursday and then we’d like to do some sightseeing together, so you’ll definitely be seeing pictures of this weekend ^^

I broke a spreadsheet a few weeks ago to find out my expenses vs my income and found out some areas where I could save spending (it seems I like bubble milk tea more than milk, edamame and korean fried chicken, who would’ve thought ^^) and it actually did make a significant difference in this month’s spending, so if any of you are into spreadsheets, categorizing expenses is fun and important xdd

But either way, jumping off for today and should have a lighter day tomorrow C:

The second is fairly easy, it’s the grass radical and then 微 under it. The first one is completely new to me, although it also has the same grass radical. I kind of like the way it looks though so I don’t find it too difficult to recall so far (I added it to my writing practice deck last week).

The one that gives me a bit of trouble lately is 躊 from 躊躇… It’s such a weird looking one. It’s kind of cool to draw however:

躊躇 (ちゅうちょ hesitation, indecision, vacillation News Anime Top 20K) Oh yeah, that busy!
The バラ (薔薇) first kanji looks like a few times 回 sitting 入 on a seesaw in the grass in a park…

It’s interesting seeing words that are very infrequent in News, very frequent in novels, and vice versa. The whole set of “describing common physical appearances” like hesitation, looking down at the floor, furrowing your brow, shock, etc are all so much more frequent in literature than in news which makes sense.

I think the simplest decomposition is grass + 卒 + 回 but the 卒 is drawn a bit differently (without the top stroke). “You get roses every time at your graduation party”. WaniKani, hire me!

UwU
Warms my “old lady” heart, you know

It’s very great that so many wonderful alternatives have been developed! I always thought that the transport, creation etc expense was built into the price… But I guess that government subsidizing can skew the apparent result

I believe that SRS is most efficient way to build up a solid pile of information that you KNOW… It takes a long time to be reliable, for me. It’s kind of like building a man-made island in a pond. There has to be so many little pieces piled up to have that foundation to build on. (Bottom-up learning, my old-fashioned approach) But I also think it’s important to do “actual study”–which is the fun stuff. All of those other access points to the information keep it from getting washed away. The difficulty is when LIFE® intervenes and all you can do is keep up SRS.
…BUT I have come to appreciate that using text holders and instant lookup, every time you check a meaning, that IS your SRS. It may not be in the “optimal review spacing”, but each time it’s a quiz/review cycle… And it’s in context
…Because I’ve observed some people using the language and building a very nice solid foundation that way. (Top-down learning, you’ve been doing this with your multiple languages)

Ah! なるほど I have been giving you superpowers!
I’m finding this section of Fata Morgana a bit endless… But I can tell the information and vibe that they are imparting… I’m just veeeery slow with reading their chatting with each other.
…I DO feel like I’m actually learning a lot, though… (See consuming content as REVIEW discussion, above)

absolutely, mitrac keeps evangelizing this over and over again in her study log, i need to step up my game and slowly try to introduce this into my life someHOW

Huehuehue, got myself ahead on reading 気になってる人, the strategy of bringing physical manga with myself just in case worked today, because it was raining really hard outside and I was stuck in a coffee shop on the way back home, so oH MY GOD LOOK AT THEM BOTH THEY’RE SO HOT IM TELLING YOU

…i have a call from my agent, what, is it not pride month yet??? can we bring pride month a few days ahead this year? iTS MY STUDY LOG AND I DECIDE WHEN I GAY AROUND

Also, ironically enough, WaniKani is getting longer and I’m going like  sitting in front of it, but Bunpro might have conditioned me to the difficulty levels being sustainable and I just sat there for a pomodoro and a bit doing, “おがむ”, enter, “to worship”, enter, im pretty good at being a machine ^^

Speaking of, YUYU is back on the topics of kindness to yourself and he took it out on the topic of different types of love today, here’s the relevant bit:

I remember having sat in front of Wikipedia a while back with Greek love types ahead of me, because the conversation about love is rigged and as a probablyyy-ish a graysexual person, I don’t see that much representation of the kinds of love that personally appeal to me

I created a tier list of different love types like two years ago for my Discord friends and it’s been evergreen since ^^

S: ludus
A: philia
B: agape
C: storge
D: philautia
E: pragma
F: eros

I love affectionately messing with people, I wish people wanted to affectionately mess with me, but ehh, in a world of people looking for sincerity, that’s a tough order. Like, sincerity is important and all, but my brain is powered by stories, less truth, i love make-believe, i love pretend, i love devil’s advocate, i love lying (affectionate xddd), is that a hot take? Maybe??? Probably???

I’m pretty lucky that with my current lifestyle that I’m having right now I don’t need to lie much, because lying does take effort and stamina and all those things - it’s also an art and a craft at the same time and I’m not very good at it, but wouldn’t it be cool to step up and become a better liar (affectionate)? xdd

Life

There was a really, really nasty story coming to the Works Council today that made me ask for the second part of the day off. That’s when I read 気になってる人, to get my mind off of things, but the story came with multiple elements of a puzzle I was all aware of and didn’t pick up at the time, coming all together in a single story with me being flabbergasted and like,

Nothing actually government-politics related, except for the tools that we as the Works Council can use in order to remedy this case and make it a little better, but this case has a really big amount of personal stakes for me including stuff outside of work that made my tummy go like

thank you mr stock picture, appreciated xddd

i did an emergency bat signal in the sky and my bouldering friend joined me just before Saturn at Alexanderplatz was about to shut down and we did some trauma window shopping together xddd

And would you look at that, there is a midnight launch of Switch 2 in there!

I won’t take part in it because I have a preorder at a Media Markt in Alexa, just on the other side of the road, they didn’t want to cancel my preorder and they won’t make a midnight launch. I’m still planning on coming and maybe taking a picture or two of an event, or maybe buying a physical game or something xddd

Then we went for some Indian together,

and then, walking back, dID I EVER TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE BLUE HOUR
BLUE HOUR IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC I LOVE IT SO MUCH LIKE AAAAAAAA

So yeah, I’ll be writing from Poland tomorrow, looking forward to another short trip!
See you tomorrow!

omg you wont believe this xddd

remember the entry from early april with accidentally meeting a super interesting person out of nowhere and immediately getting along? xdd
so that happened again xddd

so im on my train to Poland and in the same car, right in front of me, I see somebody holding a Japanese tour guide for Berlin, and I go like, あああ、もしかしたら、日本人ですか and she was like ええええ驚きました aaaand we went to a restaurant car and started chatting about our lives xddd

希さん was trying to do a nurse residency in Germany after having gotten the diploma in Japan, she’s from 北海道 and her family and her boyfriend are still there, she’s spent two months in Germany so far and the lack of her German really is making it hard, but she’s bright eyed and I hope that she manages to find something xdd

She was like the only Japanese person I’ve ever spoken with who hasn’t said 日本語上手 to me, that was wild xdd

I showed her my physical tome of 気になってる人 and gushed about yuri manga, she told me about her family back in Hokkaido, so fair deal, I imagine ^^

She went for pierogi (according to her, 餃子みたい) and I went for pomidorowa (tomato soup), if you’re ever in the mood for actual Polish food, pierogi and pomidorowa are staples of Polish food, so heavily recommended!

But no, my Japanese definitely isn’t there yet, I touched on a lot of topics, but a lot of them were like すっごく高いよ, 本当に良かった, することがない, I got really tired through the course of the conversation and when we got around to paying, I did some 翻訳 for her and tried to tell her that the signal of the card terminal in the train was missing, I said ぶんぱが切った, and then she was like うんうん and I was like… 待って待って、電波!!!, so, man, Japanese is a really hard language xdd

But it was such a wild story to even have taken a part in, I gave her a few お勧め for what to do in Kraków, meanwhile though, I got out in Legnica ^^

I WAS SO HAPPY I WAS ABLE TO MEET A JAPANESE PERSON ON A TRAIN TO POLAND THOUGH AND THAT SHE WANTED TO TALK TO ME AND AAAAAA

anyway here’s the berlin tour guide xdd

Apparently she only spent 4 hours in Berlin, to catch the train to Kraków, but she’s going back after the bank holiday and she’ll have more time to see things in Berlin C:

Life

I’m in Legnica, in Poland! We didn’t have much time today with my mom because we immediately went to hugs and trauma bonding, but we’re in a hotel right now and my mom had to endure WaniKani going for like 40 minutes and Bunpro for like 20 minutes loud on speakers xddd

A Polish retail chain of bookstores called Empik has an exhibit of Asian literature and it’s really cool, if not for the fact I have things to read already, I’d bite!

but I had a bite of volume 10 and 11 of Frieren in Polish instead, I’ll wait until I eventually get there in Japanese to have as a reference, huehuehue ^^

But hey, Legnica, in German, the name is Liegnitz, laying down place ^^

Also, cool story, every country has their own cringe blend of music that everyone knows but nobody admits to liking, the Polish equivalent of italodisco is called “disco polo” and apparently some of the biggest stars of this genre stayed at the hotel we’re in today!

We’ll have a quick breakfast tomorrow and then we’re off hiking in the Stołowe Mountains, just through the border with Czechia, we intend on sleeping in a mountain hut tomorrow, should be fun! Stay tuned and look forward to the pictures!

Anyway, see you tomorrow! C:

If I’ll have enough time, I’ll probably play through The Hundred Line this way: I heard it’s a very long game that has a lot of very hidden plot twists, so I’ll have to do my best following all the 手掛かり, but it’s very, very likely I won’t be able to finish it in a timely manner because SWITCH 2 NEXT THURSDAY and Deltarune chapters 3-4 and Mario Kart World and I’m withdrawing from my life when that happens ^^

Not very many interesting Japanese expressions in the dub that my brain was zoned in to listen, most of them sounded very anime trope’y and expressions where I could’ve read them in Japanese, but I want to have something that doesn’t engage my brain all that much ^^

But yeah, I binged the whole first volume of 気になってる人 and きゃああああぁぁぁ C:::
OMG ITS SO SWEET THE ILLUSTRATIONS NOSEBLEED CONTENT HBSHJDBDHJS

Attractive put together people media = me likey xddd
But also, glad I was able to finish another volume of the manga so quickly after Frieren volume 5 that took me forever, 気になってる人 took me just two sessions to go through the whole volume ^^

Speaking of attractive put together people media, the characters in The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- are really strong characterwise and Kodaka made a self-insert in the tutorial that just makes me smile and I was simping for the story to develop and the Kodaka self-insert turned out to be my self-insert too, so oh well xddd

Life

Legnica! Didn’t have the best weather today, but we managed to see all the cool things in the city, went to the castle, to the cathedral, old market, some statues, it’s a really nice place: a bit underfunded, but so are a ton of post-soviet areas in Eastern part of the Europe ^^

Then we took a ride to Karłów, where our hike towards Błędne Skały was supposed to take place, and 嘘だよ xddddd

The visibility was even worse than that Friday in Boston when PAX took place, but it definitely cleared up as the time went on and the hiking trail went from Silent Hill to “neat” to WHOAOHAHAHHAH

And here’s the peak!

Also, say hi to Zygmunt C:

That’s the mountain hut we’re staying in for the night, Schronisko Na Szczelińcu:

We ended up walking for like five decent hours and im so glad we didn’t give in, because it was so pretty C:

And yeah, sunset with szarlotka (apple pie)!

Today was great, I love mountains and hiking, definitely a huge booster to my good mood C:

After we wake up tomorrow, we’ll have an early breakfast, we might want to see a waterfall close by and then take a car ride to the south. Czechia… or.......... ^^

See you tomorrow!

Ahhh, the car day, how nice xddd

We ended up going a bit beyond just Czechia (we went through Czechia though!), but that’s spoilers for life ^^

Because of that, I started with Last Defense Academy and was like “huh thats neat, maybe I’ll try to do some Fata Morgana then” and OOF, I went really hard in today xdd

Finally unlocked the Important :tm: kanji today:

Tomorrow’s WaniKani will be very hard, but fingers crossed

And in Satori Reader, 未希 is up to investigative journalism, cool ^^

In terms of Bunpro, I’m just vibing through the review block, I really struggle with N2 grammars there, but I can keep going for a little longer, sigh.

Also, Last Defense Academy is reeeeally good, they overturned some of the Danganronpa tropes and I saw the involvement of Kotaro Uchikoshi finally, so might be playing that a bit further ^^

Life

Waking up in the mountain hut today, ahh, so pretty, you can see the cloud looming over the trail, that’s the one that limited our visibility yesterday C:

Breakfast, to replenish a ton of calories of course, they loaded plates with more things than you can put on the bread slices provided, my sandwiches were mountains xddd

Listen, maybe it’s not ヨセミテ, like in シークレット, but it’s still cool C:

On the way down, we saw the (second) TALLEST WATERFALL IN THE WORLD, Mr. Milchick would be proud xddd

It was something like 10 meters tall, so it wasn’t anything exciting ^^

So we jumped on a car to Czechia and stopped by Bageterie Boulevard, my favorite food chain in Czechia C:

…but then we decided to go a biiit further and spent the next 5 hours crammed in the car trying to get over to Hallstatt… in central Austria xddd

Hallstatt is covered under Unesco heritage list, so my mom got really curious about the place, and yep, absolutely worth it!

It apparently is very much a city of salt, and they even had plaques with Japanese writing in them ^^

…and we went to the city church in the center to see The Lord’s Prayer in Japanese ^^

FATA MORGANA STANS WHERE YOU AT

But yeah, it was really pretty and at 8:30pm, there was a brass town orchestra on the main square, and we listened to them Hibike! Euphoniuming their lungs out C:

My mom did her 1000th day of Duolingo (Polish-English) today, nothing exciting in terms of animations showed up though xddd

And then we jumped on another car ride and I’m writing this from the car to… Vienna, I’ve still never been, so tomorrow sounds like it’ll be a banger ^^

See you tomorrow everyone!

Whew, what a long day on WaniKani today ^^

I split it into three blocks at 9pm, 10pm and 11pm to make it a bit more manageable, but the reception was cutting off in a few places and I had to redo a few cards regardless.

The good news is Bunpro today felt a bit more doable with っこない and より他なかった at least. so bit of a relief, and today’s story on Satori Reader, poor 未希 :sob:

I loaded up a basket of Japanese things to be delivered (on Amazon, eew xdd), they involve some of the things I’ll be reading on @taiyousea’s Summer Marathon as well, they’re set to arrive on Friday, which is great, because that’ll be a day after Switch 2 and I’ll just be overindulged in

I got a decent few mangas too, but Amazon split the order into multiple chunks, so they’ll look bad on the screenshot, but I have three volumes of 百合姫 and Amazon keeps track of the history of orders, and the one I did in March has a really good success rate in terms of me having read those things ^^

But I’ll probably have a closer breakdown when I’m away from the trip, because it wasn’t today yet ^^

Life!

Vienna, Austria, yees C:

An unexpected heatwave came to greet us there:

and me, in a full hiking shirt and trousers, looked something like:

the whole time I was there ^^

As much as I knew that Mammer was an Austrian brand, I didn’t know they had their own wafer experience shop, and man, I kinda regret not having adopted the squirrel xddd

Speaking of Mammer:

Happy Pride everyone, gay wafer European Union trains, what’s not to love xddd

Also, something something, Fata Morgana stans, you needed to buy the church robes from somewhere, I just thought that this somewhere was an online shop or something, not an actual window display xdddd

Also, really cool clock btw :eyes:

So a dozen or two kilometers in, we took a car to Brno in Czechia and it was a fair lot nicer than I expected C:

I’m so behind when it comes to the culture of Czechia, but today we tried to make up for it with a culinary feast:

and note to self, that was definitely too greasy and too much xddd

I underestimated the size of Brno and told my mom we’d go through it in three hours or something, we definitely took longer ^^

Also, somebody made a portrait of me, who would’ve thought xddd

And then we took a car to Ostrava in Czechia, where we are right now, but it’s raining really strong, so no evening sightseeing.

On the car though, I annoyed my mom with all of the rules of Czech phonetics, false friends and what to be mindful of, and then I discovered ř, the final boss of Czech phonetic. Some Polish people claim it’s really similar to the sound of rż, as in “rżeć” or something, but I can hear it being different, it’s not “rż”. it’s

xdddddddddddddd
artist’s interpretation of how i imagine the ř sound from a perspective of Polish phonetics xdd

The rest of the rules mostly make sense, but Czech would definitely benefit from the introduction of “ł”, I’m telling you ^^

Anyway, I’m going to Berlin tomorrow, but before then, some Ostrava and maybe Katowice tomorrow, should be fun!

See you tomorrow! C:

First of all,

spoilers for the life section xddd

Second of all,

OH SHOOT CURSED KNOWLEDGE I NEVER KNEW (but now i know) BUT I NEVER KNEW xddd

Third of all,

Ahh, the famous German word, lüften xddd

Fourth of all,

What’s this grammar, wtf xdd
The worst thing is that the example sentence for it DIDNT EVEN HAVE THE を PARTICLE WTFFF

But yeah, N2, still not winning it, I at least dug and read a bit longer, again well over an hour today, again bloodshot eyes trying to understand the difference between に沿って、と並んで、に伴って, and just giving up and vibe answering my answer in xddd

Still attempting on giving it another shot though!

Life

Ostrava in Czechia!

It’s a town that feels a bit smaller than it actually is, and definitely more small-communitish, I imagine it’s a really cool deal for the people that want to have both the advantages of living in a bigger town and still be tightly knit with one another C:

I was going around the town with my newly-acquired understanding of the Czech phonetics and trying to make the most of the ů sound, I think I have a decent understanding of how things should sound, but stress on the first syllable, no, I’m zoning out, I’m sorry xddd

Speaking of the enterpreneurial spirit, look at this kebab sign at the florist xdddd

And ahh, the nature here, so lovely ^^

Also, European drink tier list:

Paulaner Spezi > Almdudler > Frugo > Kofola (but we stan all four of those ^^)

Then a quick one to Katowice to jump on a train to Berlin:

Katowice are known for holding sports events in Poland, so wasn’t surprised in the slightest to see this one again ^^

And then, took a six-hour long train to Berlin, made it only a few minutes delayed and started decomposing over the rest of the day ^^

So here’s a free insecurity of mine that I’ll share with you C:

Free insecurity, Ukrainian edition C:

I was sitting on a train in a car where there was a pair of people that were both wearing Ukrainian clothing, and the whole car felt very pro-Ukraine, I picked up on a conversation, showed my nails and said the obligatory Слава Україні! and that influenced the whole trajectory of my day xdd

Regular people on the train read books, text people on Whatsapp, waste a whole day on Insta, so I spent seven hours listening to a well educated, very articulate, Mrs. International make a personalized podcast about her experiences with being European while being Ukrainian all at the same time. And wow, listening to her was something different, she worked as an IT lawyer, so maybe that’s why. She effortlessly jumped between emotional opinions, objective judgment of things and all sorts of resources that I could use if I were ever to restart the conversation ^^

We spoke about politics, travel, presidential elections in Poland yesterday, hobbies, DACH countries, learning German, Berlin, being forced to relocate, the idea of solidarity, how do people support one another, and that was a conversation that profoundly touched on my soul, and I felt so, SO let down by myself when she was looking at me with an intelligent stare expecting of me to ask a precise and very articulate question and all that was coming out of my mouth was “eee so kofola is tasty, do you have, like, eee, kofola in ukraine” xdd

Of course, she was very patient with me, and the fact that she was willing to entertain me with all sorts of stories about everything for seven hours meant that she perceived me as a relatively educated person that is curious and open-minded, for which I’m extremely grateful, but my insecurity stems from the fact that I saw it in her eyes that she already saw me as an activist-apostle that would be able to carry Ukraine within myself and fight for future acceptance and recognition of the culture, and that she might have had hopes for me. Of course, I know a lot about those topics already and I try to stay up to date with the developments, but that’s the extent of where my collecting useless spells as Frieren has taken me yet. And I sat in there and my brain was fighting asking like “ok so like what manga publishing market is there in Kyiv” vs “how did your family relocation go? was everyone safe? did anything happen to the people in your community?”

I mean I was curious about both, I’m simply neurodivergent xddddd

But I ended up learning a lot from her, and she was really open in terms of oversharing about everything, which I really appreciate from people, in a way I kinda want to become a person like her in the future, but also, I really have to stand my ground and be proud of who I am today, instead of always clinging towards the next north star xdddd

She definitely proved that not being embarrassed of your upbringing and being straightforward is the best way to live your life ^^

And yeah, pride month, another conversation I touched on with her was dating, I explained to her how Tenerife drinks with strangers and dressing up for hot weather are not exactly my hobbies, and she said that it wasnt hers either, but that the dating apps are a trap and that they show you that those are the only people that exist, so what a surprise, I might not have a Pride Month Dating Tangent in 2025 xddddd

Either way, see you tomorrow and thanks for listening to me yap! German classes tomorrow! C:

Today, I’ve met the 鑑 model kanji again:

And I was like “this is the very first time I’m seeing this kanji” even though it was a master review xdd

Memory can be spotty ^^

Bunpro today was really, really long, but at least aside from に相違ない and を巡って I didn’t struggle all that much, I crossed 100 items on Bunpro with N2:

and the ball is ever so slightly rolling ^^
I’m also Level 58 on Bunpro so grrrrr Shannon I’m coming after you, just on a wrong service xddd

I saw a couple of people discussing SRS practices recently, and how the best SRS is just seeing the items in the wild, and while I agree with that, I look at @Malinkal’s study log with both amazement and anxiety at the same time, because their level of exponential improvement in Japanese by consuming source material is both something I’m envious of, something I don’t want to commit to and something that makes me scream out “HOW DO YOU HAVE ALL THAT TIME”

But for them, their life is more aligned towards Japanese study even without conscious practice, I only have the Japanese classes here, oh well ^^

Life

That’s it everyone ^^

11 years of having been crazy about this game. 11 years of playing the game with the same people, by the way, we’ve all grown our own separate ways since then ^^

Hundreds of hours, including mods and translations and all of the cool stuff. Seeing this game go from 32 to 48 to 96 courses, add in the most fun mode out there (200cc!!!), I’m so not ready to let go of this one. Or maybe, am I?

I looked at the screen as we closed the lobby for one of the lastest times together?

This was the very first game I tried playing in Japanese. The reason why I set my Switch to Japanese in the first place ^^

This game changed my life in so many substantial ways, came with me to Ireland, and then to Germany, and picked me up from the lowest moments many, many times. For that reason alone, I’m going to miss it so profoundly.

And tomorrow, I still won’t have my Switch by the end of the day, but I’m going to the midnight launch anyway ^^
It’ll be close to here, check this ad out! They’ve bumped the marketing budget ^^

I wonder what I should get from the midnight launch event. Maybe a new controller??? Or a different game??? Or just, show people my copy of Deltarune and witness the mayhem without having spent anything? ^^

Oh well, tomorrow will be fun C:
