A Certain Bidoof's Multi-Language Travel & Friends & I'm A German Citizen Arc 🇯🇵 🇩🇪 🇨🇦 🇵🇱 🇨🇳

I’m sorry you had to go through such an experience :sob: (hopefully not anymore :folded_hands:)

I was watching a video once, and in it was a comment along the lines of “We here in Japan live in a bubble…” and it surprised me at first. However, the more I read on the study logs and hear about different experiences, the more I’m shocked that the comment is sadly true. The sad part is that such experiences aren’t inclusive to Japan and there are different countries that would deal with foreigners the same way per se and sometimes not the country, but just certain people or communities.

Again, I’m really sorry you had to go through this  and hopefully you won’t have such experiences anymore

y-yes, of course i would C: xddd

speaking of tools that i am not necessarily getting the full value out of because they’re not necessarily at my flow zone level when I go through them, Satori Reader has a Golden Week discount!

I wonder how much of a backlog of Satori Reader stories should I build to subscribe to them again ^^

Also, big two chapters in 違国日記, I have a feeling that a lot of chapters are important in the story, especially the ones at the end of the volumes ^^

And they don’t stray away from being cringe, but freeeee! Rel!

Those two chapters, just a minor spoiler, are talking about relationships with adults and I found it refreshing how adult the conversations about love went? Fun volume ^^

Life

Think it might be a good time to start speaking about this, because I’ve been teasing this for a while, but in a week from now, I’m flying to Japan! Yes, I’ll go there with an U5 metro line ^^

That’s a bit what this usage arc has been leading to, but I have a feeling it kind of lost momentum, especially with listening ^^

I have been in contact with two WaniKani people to find out if we could meet up, one of them is less likely to meet up than the other one - but the reason why I bring this up is if any of you wanted to meet up, let me know either here or on Discord (same name as here!) and we can try to make it work. My plans are really lax and I am planning almost nothing about the trip, other than I arrive to 関西 on April 29th/30th and I have a flight away from Japan on May 18th from 札幌, and all inbetween is up to be planned. I’d prefer to not go to 東京 this time if possible at all ^^

I’m planning to spam photos with DSLR every day and being as spontaneous as life takes me, if you know of anything cool happening in 関西 and 北海道 that time, do let me know!

But yeah, I went to the book club today again and told my friends I’ll be leaving them for a few weeks…

…today was a fun day though, as it was the anniversary of the book club being a thing, and we almost did not talk about books (aside from the Portrait of Dorian Gray, slayyy xddd) at all. A little about how racism manifests itself differently in Europe, a little about what makes a certain nationality be perceived as “white” in Europe, a little about films we’ve seen recently, it was a fun time in general ^^

And yeah, Berlin is known for the film festivals, so on my way back, there were people just walking through the asphalt as I was trying to cycle and I was trying not to hit them, as a screening of a festival APTLY NAMED “ACHTUNG BERLIN”, “WATCH OUT BERLIN” was just finishing xddd

I am going to a film festival tomorrow too, feel free to guess which one ^^

Either way, see you tomorrow! C:

You’re taking the train… to Japan? :locomotive::map_of_japan::face_with_monocle:
I’m not sure how that works out logistically, but you do you :squinting_face_with_tongue:.

That does sound like it’ll be fun and maybe this gives you a chance to evaluate how much you need to improve more Japanese. German is a lot more relevant to your daily life and you’ve talked about balancing them but I think there’s room for a good bit of adventure with the bonus of knowing as much Japanese as you do.

100%

LoL @ clothes color palette/intensity comment re clothes exchange days ago… Certain colors proclaim “Look at ME!!!”

LoL, your comment from a Gathering of Friends that “maybe we should finally start doing what we claimed we were meeting to do” after hours of lively chitchat is how my kimono-wearing party only got 2 people trying on Japanese clothes. L.O.L.

Gtg
Thank you so much for the pic
OMG the SLR really is great

at least that would be better than that one video of a person from the UK who cycled from the UK to China over the course of 100 days xddd

But yes, I am taking a train as the second part of the journey towards Japan ^^

that’s an eternal struggle i feel like :sob:

April 23rd, 2026

Today’s manga is also weird and also comes from the stashes of 33 or 100 yen manga from Bookwalker deal a while back that I gave Jintor free coins with :eyes:

It’s a queer manga that’s published by ハルタ, and kind of leans into the Japanese idea of “fem” vs “butch” people, even though the butch one is probably closer to a tomboy in this ^^

Similar to 違国日記, they’re learning how to coexist with one another if they were to live together, there aren’t that strong story beats in this one, but the illustrations are pretty C:

There isn’t much dialogue in the manga and a lot is covered by acts of kindness and both of the characters seemingly caring for one another really much, that’s sweet C:

And トモダチコレクション is really silly, in a good way ^^

Ignore the double eyes because the display of Switch 2 having horrible ghosting, but I set my character to be into physical activity and socializing to manifest the best version of myself and now she’s saying that there’s nobody to work out with her at 2 in the morning, oh well ^^

Her island only has 4 people for now, since the game is a bit like The Sims, I’m genuinely wondering if it would me MORALLY OKAY to make WaniKani people join me on the island and eeee, engage in the not-always-wholesome roleplay of being on an island together xdddd

Life

SO TASTY!!! C:

So film festival, what did you watch Bidoof, THE NEW BLUEY FILM???

Damn, my Mii on Tomodachi Life island would definitely enjoy that film I feel ^^

But no, it was the Arabic Film Festival, the same as the last year, and also got invited by the same friend, and also to a movie about Palestine, Palestine 36.

As the title implies, it’s a story from the times that aren’t so commonly discussed, before the zionist colonization started taking place, but just in time for the British Empire to do absolutely terrible, terrible things. Very raw, shot with a POV of a few people, containing Arabic insurrections, three religions, I found the Palestinian journalist angle to be the most interesting one. The movie was shot in Palestine, by a Palestinian woman director and had Palestinian actors, and it had a really decent, indie-movie-level budget to it!

Everyone is only talking about the Nazi Germany vs Soviet Union war crimes, but the 1930s were a terrible time in the whole world - and the movie talks about different types of suffering of different countries throughout that decade.

The film was really frustrating in its content matter though and it made me realize that Palestine is one of those states that’s just messed up by the geographical position in addition to the history. It’ll soon enough be available in regular cinemas in Berlin as well, as Berlin film publishing was able to secure the licenses, and this film was the starter feature of the whole film festival! I definitely feel even more radicalized by it, so whew, free Palestine.

Anyway, it was a film festival, so of course there was a long ovation at the end, including a standing one, a Q&A panel with the main Palestinian actor of the film and a few questions were being asked in Arabic as well, that I found pretty cool!

But yeah, our group of friends had to quickly skibidi away as it was 11pm when the movie ended, so we’ll get to finally discuss the movie tomorrow ^^

See you tomorrow! C:

Narrator: no, they weren’t siblings xddd

Such a sweet manga, and the chapters today went in quickly ^^

Also, omg somebody took a picture of me wearing the NIKON CAMERA I WILL BE BRINGING TO JAPAN omg C:

The strength of the volume was playing with the distance of the POV in the manga, characters are drawn closer or more distant to send a message to let you know how close/distant they feel at a given time, and I think that this move really helped to build the tension of the chapters as well ^^

But I was surprised to find out that the manga is not yuri, seems like I mistook the androgynous character for just being a butch, I was waiting for a reveal of the “she is a woman secret”, and the reveal was “well actually he’s still a guy but something is happening to his body that transforms the way how he looks” and nope, it wasn’t yuri xddd

I FELT SO BAITED BECAUSE THE RELATIONSHIP LOOKED SO WHOLESOME IN THE FIRST TWO CHAPTERS
…I’m actually okay with having been baited into this manga thinking it was yuri ^^
It was cute ^^

And the Tomodachi island is slooowly coming together, so far when it comes to flavor text, I understand pretty much everything, but the descriptions of the minigames make me feel like I’m missing some cultural context for the minigames and I don’t know how to perform in them, but otherwise it doesn’t even feel tiring to read through Tomodachi Life in Japanese :eyes:

Life

And on the same manner, I had a friend invite herself to my place, at first I was like “listen, it’s my rest day, we can just vibe together but i will probably cut you o-” 10 hours of hanging out xddddd

We talked about the Famous :tm: German series that every German kid would’ve known of, including a weird Dutch ripoff of Ducktales called Alfred J. Kwak ^^

There’s so much controversy around it it’s crazy :eye::eye:

After a while we ended up playing the Portal 2 co-op campaign, something I’ve never done because I’ve never had anyone to play it with, and she’s been through it a few times by now ^^

The music is still great, the puzzles are still great, the sass is still great ^^

…and we cooked some Carbonara together! It came pretty nicely, we did extra cheese because both of us were feeling very lactose demanding today ^^

As one of the things we’ve been talking about with the series popular with German kids my age, she brought up Cornelia Funke’s Die Wilden Hühner, Wild Chicks, which is a wild title, but apparently the series used to be a cult classic, and multiple movies stemmed out of that!

And yeah, since I cycled to Dussmann already, the Heated Rivalry section only keeps growing and being bigger…

…in a way, there’s a good precedent for it happening, we’RE IN THE HOCKEY NATIONAL FINALS and we won the first game 7:3 and the game in Berlin is this Sunday ^^

Berlin is doing really well this season, so hey, Eisbären have a real shot at the German Championships this year, the whole city is rooting on them!

See you tomorrow!

April 25th, 2026

i’m looking at them and being like “NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE” xdddd

Continuing my reading Bookwalker manga without furigana and without Mokuro, this one is said to be an easier manga - the second chapter seems to be about an experience of making a magical jam of the lost fallen stars, I wonder if the storyline carries further :eyes:

Very pretty illustrations though!

And in terms of games, I couldn’t get myself to play Tomodachi Life today, but I did stumble upon 1000xResist, a game seemingly based on the Hong Kong freedom protests, it has English voice acting as the only option, but it does have Japanese text, putting me in a bit of a sweet spot where I will want to understand the whole story, I can just wait until the English voice acting rolls over if I don’t understand the word immediately. Also no furigana in this one and has a few more difficult dialogues too.

…and I was today years old when I realized that 龍が如く series uses exactly this grammar to mean “Like a Dragon” :sob:

Life

There’s a really fun second-hand shop in Berlin whose name is a pun, NochMall, where “noch” means “still [happening]”, “mall” means “shopping center” and “nochmal” means “again” ^^

It’s a shop that praises itself on its slogan, “it has everything except for new things”

Its marketing budget is significantly higher than your German Humanas or American Goodwills, prooobably similar to Book-Off and Hard-Off all in one place. It’s not a chain, it’s not a charity shop, more like, if you’ve got something you no longer see a use for, just donate it! And look at this section of books about popes, some of them no more with us (2137!), and Pink Panther CD promo too ^^

Because of its a little above regular budget, you can even find Japanese people selling there, which would be unheard of in other places in Berlin! Yes, those mangas were there to just grab ^^

I decided not to, because I’ll be in Osaka in less than a week, so I’ll probably go wild around Parco regardless xddd

And I’m pretty sure this floatie wasn’t from a Japanese person, but it was an interesting item to find regardless :sob: :sob: :sob: xddd

But this also brings me to the reason I went and visited NochMall! I wanted to get myself a suitcase to fly over to Japan, and yep they did have one, it’s in a preeeetty good state, though I do have a reputation of just being an assassin of suitcases and destroying them really quick, so I wonder how long will this one last ^^

And as a bonus, after I came to Schiller-Bibliothek to look at the books I’d like to read on the plane, I found that my library card actually offers an additional discount for purchases at NochMall! They really positioned themselves as a local Book-Off business ^^

See you tomorrow!

April 26th, 2026

wow.

I haven’t been this engrossed in a video game since The House in Fata Morgana.

Of course, there is a pretty big possibility that I’m just not done processing my emotions about the game, as I’ve decided to pull a half-nighter in order to finish it, but DAMN.

One of my favorite parts of Virtue’s Last Reward, and the thing that ties the game thematically together, is the epilogue that has been written in because of the 2011 tsunami and it was written very late in the game’s development

I remember playing the game for the first time thinking that this should have been where the game follows and picks up in Zero Escape 3

It ended up being not canon and Zero Time Dilemma didn’t mention the epilogue at all.

1000xResist has a very cute premise of just being a story about matriarchy and deciding who to trust and where to go

AND THEN HALFWAY IN IT TURNS INTO A VIRTUE’S LAST REWARD EPILOGUE SPIRITUAL SEQUEL.

The game DELIVERS in a way I was not prepared for. It brings me back to the way how I felt before I learned how the structure of video games is supposed to be and then setting off on the submarine in Ghost Trick and not knowing how is it possible that the game will end well and knowing that the submarine is sinking and the night is going into 4am… 5am… 6am…

To be totally vulnerable, I didnt understand why Hong Kong was pitched to be this important city in the scheme of history of the world and going to Hong Kong didnt make me understand it that well either. But this game made me understand that it’s not about the buildings or the water but it’s also about them

Early on, in the matriarchal part of the game, there are a few characters who are from the Mandarin side of Hong Kong and they’re trying to learn English and assimilate in there. And there is one whose voice actress is putting on a really strong Chinese accent to the point her voice cracks a few times in the scenes where she talks in a natural way and it just SPEAKS to me, and whenever she goes vulnerable or really wants to express herself, she returns back to mandarin and there are no dialogues in english to let you know what she just said…

…but since I was playing in Japanese, I have the benefit of seeing the Chinese characters and the Japanese translation right next to it. It’s so bizarre. And amazing. And bizarre.

And it’s an extra layer of understanding the game, the intergenerational trauma of the asian diaspora connected through Chinese characters and an attempt to translate the thoughts to different languages. The dialogues in japanese are 2-3 times as long as they are in mandarin but you can also just look at the Chinese characters and try to imagine what they mean.

I’m amazed in this game and I don’t know it’ll hold up by tomorrow, but I MISSED OH SO MUCH the feeling of wanting to stay up for longer just to WANT to finish something so bad :sob:

Haven’t seen one since Ghost Trick ^^

Two of the most important words I saw more common than in other games/mangas I’ve read:
唯一 and 留める, those felt like they were overepresented in this game, glad to be able to drill them into my head ^^

If the game had a Natively rating, it’d probably be something like Level 40, but I’m really glad I had the English audio to fall back on if I couldn’t think of a meaning to the characters - I read a bit faster in Japanese and then waited for the English dialogue to catch up when I was struggling. Ironically, I felt like the sections that didn’t have any audio but had Japanese characters had the more difficult dialogues, so they are where I would need English audio: the storybook-based communion especially ^^

OMG I LOVED THIS GAME

OMG I LOVE LOVING THINGS AAAAAA

japanese studies saw huge stonks today xddd

10 hours, 40 minutes to beat. After testing a few, finally settled on the :blue_circle: Ending ^^

Oh yeah, and I also read a chapter of the manga when I was doing my SRSes between the chapters, relevant conversation ^^

Life

So aside from being glued to my Steam Deck today, I also went for a cycle to Zoologischer Garten ^^

I stopped to look at the magazines around, because I mentioned how I’m so fond magazines, and funnily enough, as I was halfway through the game, I found one magazine in German with an article exactly about this game, even though it came out two years ago ^^

German magazines kind of do not have the same staying power as the British ones in my opinion, but they’re still pretty cool! I used to subscribe to a few in the past, and maybe I should subscribe to them again to practice some German. Here’s a few!

Koneko: the anime and Japanese culture one. The cool thing about it is the Japanese expressions section as one of the panels. I find the translations a bit cringy, but in a cute way, but they have great poster selection and subscriber bonuses for physical subscriptions ^^

Before I got to Koneko, I used to subscribe N-Zone, a magazine about Nintendo: it relies pretty heavily on personalities of the editors and has panels to whatever is the current interest of the editor, even if that one is “WE FINALLY ARE GETTING GOOD HORSE GAMES” xddd
The editor board grew a bit since I was subscribed to this one, I think there is value to reading this magazine even if you’re following what’s happening in Nintendo anyway ^^

And Animania, they have one really cute thing that other magazines do not replicate: an actual DVD with trailers and interviews and bonus features attached to every issue of the magazine xdd

By 2026 standards, the layout of the magazine looks very outdated, but it has even more editorials and columns than N-Zone, so it still is pretty much worth a read!

But yeah, having seen the 1000xResist article I got extra buzzed and I decided to go back and finish it and I’m glad I did so omg it was so good :sob: :sob: :sob:

Two more nights in Berlin!
See you tomorrow! C:

If you want some recommendations for used book shops to load up on books, I’ve got them for Osaka especially. Restaurants too if you’re interested.

I’m jealous :sob:. I want to read it but can’t find it in Japan and the library waiting list has like 180 people :joy:.

ooo OF COURSE I’D LOVE TO C:
I know I’ll definitely visit a Book-Off or two to stock up on manga for 110 yen, but if you have any specific places you’d recommend for me to visit: the recommended ones ended up being my favorite places in Malaysia when I was traveling there, so please do let me know!

I don’t know if individual restaurants are going to make that big of a splash to me, but knowing what to eat and where are the eating areas definitely will make the difference, I only know of 道頓堀 because of 龍が如く games ^^

Supporting libraries is one thing, but a certain bird told me that there is an Anna who has her Archive and that Archive might have a Heated Rivalry or two ^^

April 27th, 2026

Not as bombastic as yesterday, but oh well ^^

夜の名前を呼んで is really adorable and the illustrations are cute, I don’t think it does that good of a job of keeping my attention though ^^

Funnily enough, my favorite part was looking at the outfit designs in あとがき, seems like plenty of love went into that ^^

And I was trying a new podcast today, 春の日本語, I was sold on the idea that it would be your bestie just rambling about anything happening in her life, and yep, that’s a good descriptor ^^

She’s a bit faster than Bite Sized Japanese and it feels like the topics might be able to connect with me a bit better, but I’m still not very engaged with listening to Japanese and parts of it come in with one ear and come out the other ear, so not a good listening session. At least it was something!

Life

花見 in a pot, how resourceful!

Yet another Pop Mart opened up at Alexanderplatz! I’ve slowly started that Labubu was a meme and then I came upon this one and I was like “OH YEAH, LABUBU IS STILL A THING”

I wonder what they’re generating the revenue on now in 2026, Molly doesn’t seem that big of a seller I don’t think?

And hey, a big display for Atelier of Witch Hat at the Thalia Manga store! It seems like it’s picking up some hype because of getting the anime adaptation, the first volume of manga was pretty cute, maybe if I find it in Japan relatively cheaper, I could get some more ^^

And since my robo vacuum started acting up and I returned it, I decided to get my first vacuum cleaner.

AT THE AGE OF 28.
I’m so proud of myself, adulting goals, I’m almost an adult now :sob:

The new vacuum doesn’t have any trash bags, which I consider to be a double-edged sword, but so far, cleaning with it was pretty easy today ^^

But yeah, cleaning day, skincare day, hair conditioner day, not much happening, tomorrow will be a lot of packing up though~

See you tomorrow! ^^

IMG_9318
Witch Hat Atelier mentioned!
Don’t mind me, I’ve read the first four volumes between Thursday and now. Pretty good series, nice art.

Do eeeeeeeet. Forget about the plot and characters and art and stuff. Have you seen the worm guy? Cute animal companion thing.

Becoming an adult is asymptotic, you never quite get there but you do get closer. Personally I can’t stand our robot vacuum at home with all the noise it makes and stuff it knocks over but it is convenient to clean a little less per week yourself.

Vacuums are fun aren’t they? I remember buying my first vacuum, it definitely felt like a milestone in my growing up.

According to my mom people are kids until they are 40, so you still have 12 more years until you are an adult XD

I saw this last week and almost commented and then I was like noooo don’t ruin the fun this is hilarious  but yes very androgynous in a pleasant way and omg so cute, love the art in this one

:green_heart: yay

Can’t wait for Osaka  :eyes:

April 28th, 2026

Just a really quick one because I’m flying in just a few hours

ニコラ fights the troops of the shadow bazaar, let’s go girl!

And Haru listed out jobs that are the most popular in Japan right now, she went on so many tangents and was changing the topic almost all the time, loved how at one point in time she was like “i thought more people would be into being a lawyer because of phoenix wright, OBJECTION, btw im also streaming this on my yt right now” xdd

She loves her money though, day trader :money_mouth_face:

Aaaand pride of German cars ^^

Today I met up with my Canadian friend who’s about to go back to Canada for good, the RuPaul one, and also the same one as the one I called queerplatonic last August, he kind of returned to Berlin for a few months and it’s been great to hang out with him for the second time the last few months ^^

We went to an Arabic restaurant and he introduced me to the waiter that became his homie, and became a homie of mine by association xddd

I’m gonna miss him so much, he was the backbone of my friend network for a bit, ehhh :sob:

But either way, Osaka tomorrow, I’ll send an update from Taipei tomorrow, see you tomorrow!

It’s asymptotic but not asymptomatic, funny enough.

Safe and enjoyable travels!

Good luck with your trip  and safe travels, of course

Here’s a Sakura to accompany on this trip and keep you safe :cherry_blossom:

April 29th, 2026

Yep, I was on the airplane, how did you guess xdddd
8 or 9 hours of Japanese today.

So starting from the top, レシピにたくした料理人の夢, it’s a light novel I got from the Japanese-German center after the marathon last month… and I forgot to extend the borrowing out period, I gave a call to the center and the woman in there was a little disappointed that I called a few days after the book was due and asked to extend it, but she did agree to extend it until I’m back in Berlin, so I’m trying to read things!

レシピにたくした料理人の夢 is a weird book. It’s a coming of age (like, literally, they go through the entire adolescence) of a boy whose mom had a genetic disease that she passed over on him, and early in the book he also accidentally chopped one of his toes in an acciDENT AND THE DESCRIPTION OF IT IS VERY GRAPHIC FOR SOME REASON xddddd

As far as I’ve read (2/6 chapters done), it’s a story about processing grief and airing anger, though judging by the cover and the title, later there will be some overcoming of it. I find the pacing really bizarre, the angst of the descriptions of his feelings pretty messy, but because it’s messy I’m engaged because I go like „omg I literally can’t predict what comes next“ xdddd

Compared to other books I’ve read this year, this is probably a bit harder than the one in the Spring marathon, but I understand about the same amount of stuff and I go back to reread sentences a bit less, so hoo C:

CONAN! Episode 1060! You’d think it’s very random and right in the middle, but no, the airline was able to secure a few episodes that mark a self-contained arc, and this is the first one of it. At the beginning of this episode I had really big troubles understanding the accents of the characters in the show, but as the episode went on, it became a bit easier to listen, aND IT ENDED ON A CLIFFHANGER??? WHY??? xddd

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I understand very easily why Japanese dramas are not as popular as the Korean ones and 真相を話しします is a great representative of that xddd

It’s really bad xdddddd

The acting is very artificial, the plot makes you roll your eyes, not to mention that there are four stories told over the course of this movie and by the time i was through the third story, I noticed that a woman was violently abused in every story until that point, and then a fourth story came around, and a woman was violently abused in the story, and then the outcome of the fourth story was a woman being violently abused in the studio. WHATS WRONG WITH YOU xddddddd

And I’ve got really good things to say about トモダチコレクションワクワク生活! I do understand the complaints of people saying that the game is pretty light on content that used to be staple, but with the things that are available, the polish is really high and the game is a lot of fun C:

I made some WaniKani people on the island, and 4 hours is nowhere close to make the people get along with one another, but I’ll sample a few people I am pretty happy with already! So I’d like to showcase シャンノン, マイトラック, マリンカル and クインオザゴーズ (character space limits) xddd

D-definitely not based on the actual WaniKani people xddd

I made up Miis for them not knowing how half of them look like, tried to add character traits and so on, and here’s the character cards!

First up, シャンノン and マイトラック, as soon as I saw the outfit in the shop I was like „yep, that’s perfect for シャンノン“ and I made her wear this xddd

I’m pretty happy with how the Mii came about as well, it’s pretty representative!

And as for マイトラック, I had it a bit harder because I don’t know if Mitrac ever revealed Mitrac’s pronouns on WaniKani, not even they/them, so I tried to make マイトラック as androgynous as possible and made them non-binary (at the same time customized all of my Miis to also be attracted to non-binary characters so that it wouldn’t feel like マイトラック is left behind) xddd
Subject to change, I’m definitely interested in hearing what pronouns Mitrac uses, but oh well xdd

マリンカル was an easy one, I know the guy, I know the character of the guy, just have to stay canon and we are landing this ship ^^

And クインオザゴーズ was one of the last Miis I’ve created (~10th?), but I accidentally made her very chatty and she started getting along with everyone and her level started increasing really quickly

I don’t know if this is how queenofthegods looks like, but I was trying to go for something pretty athletic and pretty country bumpkin and pretty nerdy and even if she doesn’t look like that, I think the Mii came out really cool at least xddd

You can also spot some guest appearances by the lists of Miis they’re friends with, yes, シツレイ and a few other people also are work in progress and you can be too if you let me know I should be playing with your lives ^^

So some characters started hitting on one another already xdddddddddddddd

So far I’ve just clicked "no, don’t try to get into a romantic relationship“ because I’m ace and also because it’ll feel really awkward if I started shipping real people in a video game, so let’s just, you know, be friends and have fun xxdddddddd

That’s the longest Japanese update I did in a while and the longest Japanese update I’ll do In a while xdddd

Life

So here’s a fun story.

I’m flying through Frankfurt and Taipei to Osaka, and I’m writing this just about to land in Taipei ^^

The airport in Frankfurt has three terminals, the first one is the busy one, one of the biggest airports in the world, all traffic happens here, we stan!

My plane was flying from Terminal 3, which Is a new terminal, and in order to get there, you need to walk a lot, take a train from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, then walk a lot, and then take a train from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3

Terminal 2 is a deeeecent bit smaller, I was being like "at least they have a coffee place here, and maybe some souvenirs“…

…by the time I got to Terminal 3, it was DESOLATE. ALMOST NOBODY WAS THERE. xdddd

And, gotta give credit where credit is due, China Airlines is really a well stuffed airline, the food is tasty, the displays are high resolution, and sOMEBODY AHEAD OF ME EVEN PLAYED PLANTS VS ZOMBIES ON THEIRS

But yeah, having a 1h flight, and then 2h of waiting, and then a 12h flight, and then 2h of waiting, and I’m still not in Osaka, really sets a specific rhythm to your day.

One that has a lot of Japanese study, so I should be happy about that ^^

And as in October last year, I really like the Taipei airport, have been roaming around, snacking different things ^^

The airport has a lot of decorations and attractions themed after the culture of Taiwan…

Basically every gate has something different, so I just walked from one end of the airport to the other one ^^

And I’m sorry, but after playing through 1000xRESIST, I no longer take chances, of course I needed to get a Taiwan souvenir xddd

MALINKAL SPOTTED, TWICE
(we can let one of those be Maurice ^^)

And one last one, from the phone, in case I ever decide to learn this beautiful language, I got myself a book with stories for 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders in Mandarin, and look, it even comes with the Chinese version of furigana ^^

Ehhh, 2030 ^^

See you from Osaka in like, eee, I don’t know, 16 hours? Less? Because I haven’t slept at all? Xddd

OMG ME???

Quite accurate, I can talk for 9 hours straight no problem XD.
