Luckily, I got it covered before even going for the Asia trip, I’m a huge fan of Shu Takumi, so decided to indulge in the Japan-exclusive physical release ^^
But I think you should absolutely consider getting it yourself, because it’s one of my Formative Experiences over the years and years later I still consider this game to have absolutely CRAAAAZY GOOD art design: including BAAANGIN music, animations, rotoscoped 2D->3D art and UI design ^^
Also another one of my formative experiences, I think it’s very neat and tidy, but it leads into a sequel that’s just My Favorite Story Of All Time That Happens To Be Told In A Form Of A Visual Novel, I reread it so many times and Virtue’s Last Reward (極限脱出ADV 善人シボウデス) always gets me, it’s just so… Formative

I wanted to hear the craic that @Daisoujou mentioned here:
and OOF. It was a heavy hitter ^^
Emio is a game that’s deceitful in all sorts of different ways, it tricks you into thinking it’s one thing and it’s completely another, all the way to the announcement teaser
The game pulls a genre shift on you around chapter 10, where it gets from being a cozy detective simulator to a crying simulator, and it carries it all into the epilogue, that just robs your lungs of air and makes you go like, OOF xddd
I think there was a little bit of misery porn involved in the epilogue of Emio, but it was executed really, really well and I remember watching the cutscene with my hands shaking all the way through, so they did it, I’m done with Emio ^^
On the note of playing in Japanese, I played the first chapter of Ghost Trick and Japanese level spoilers: much less kanji than Emio, but makes up for it by having katakana for the harder words and pacing where some text autoscrolls, some text only flickers for a second before it goes away and in general the pacing is tough, I needed to stop vocalizing my Japanese reading in my head to read some text in time, but since I’ve played the game already, my brain fills in the blanks even if the kanji looks funny to me.
Ghost Trick is one of the games that I knew was great when I played it on the NDS in the past, but it was so exceptional that nothing even comparable to it came out in the decade that followed, and we didn’t even know how good we had it in the day, the remaster is just… shivers ^^
Also, finished 壁の穴 on Satori Reader! From tomorrow on, different story, but yeah, racism bad kids, don’t do racism xddd

Singapore!
I felt like I kinda needed to cheat on that one too to give justice to the place xdd
Singapore currently is the country with the number one highest GDP per capita on the planet, and trust me if I tell you you can tell that, very easily
They burn so much money on things it’s so crazy
Even compared to the other tax fraud haven countries I saw earlier this year, Switzerland, Ireland and Luxemburg, it’s so far away it doesn’t even compare ;___; xddd
Anyway, back to Malaysia for a bit! I think Malaysia’s train infrastructure is my favorite one in the southeast Asia (minus Singapore) and I felt right at home (in Korea/Japan) when we were using it ^^
Of course, duty free zone and all, durian is everywhere, but they need to dry it to remove the smell to make it a bit more bearable ^^
We ran away MINUTES away from monsoon rain and it shook at the takeoff and then we got over the clouds and then it wasn’t anymore ^^
Aaand yep, here’s the city! That part was very reminiscent of NYC in my mind ^^
We immediately went for a food market to get some more traditional Singapore food and found one place that had some things mentioned on Google as traditional Singapore food, so we were like, sure xdd
Fried Kway Teow (very umami!) and Laksa (very… eeee… definitely spicy for one xddd)
Then, my mom is a huge fan of, eee, BREAD, so we went and had some baguette together in a French bakery, Paul, I visited it in Paris earlier this year too ^^
And then it got darker and OH GOSH THE LIGHT ILLUMINATION SHOW
they had orchestral music and colors and lights and AAAA
they play it twice every single day, at 8pm and 9pm
AND I GOT MY FISHY (very important 3 singapore dollars) (of course got the durian one)
And then we went to Gardens by the Bay and…
…I just don’t know what to say
We also caught a special audiovisual presentation at the Supertree Grove, where the op is from ^^
And then, bridges, skyscrapers, very pretty C:
Aaand tomorrow is our final full day in Asia, so we’re planning on just doing, eee, everything xdd
So, eee, so far, crazy surprised by Singapore: I still think what I’ve seen of Kuala Lumpur is better in terms of buying things (a lot of luxury brands and super expensive things), but Singapore surprised us both so much that we were walking back and talking about the Supertree Grove like all the time xdd
