My first one year streak. I signed up back in December 2023, but have never used it completely consistently until about a year ago.

I was level 17 a year ago. I’m level 31 now. I gained 14 levels in a year.

I’m taking it slow and trying not to be overwhelmed. When life gets busy I just fall back to only doing reviews and not taking on new lessons. For that reason I was on level 27 from April 11th until June 7th.

On one hand, I’m excited that I was able to keep things up for a year. On the other hand, I’m a bit disappointed that at my current pace it will take me two more years to actually complete WaniKani.

Still, progress is progress.

Congratulations! That’s a really great achievement. My strategy and pace is about the same as yours I think, I can’t really imagine going any faster with all the other things in life.
Also, as a teacher, I see how many years it takes children to fully learn to read and so I don’t feel bad about my pace. I think that its good to take your time so as to not burn out!
