I watched the first episode of 家政婦の美田園. The ending was ridiculously unrealistic but I went into this with zero expectations, so I had fun watching it. Other than the ending, it was enjoyable. I understood a lot of it but there were a lot of government specific words that went right over my head.

I’ve heard Japan’s “hafu” culture can be pretty rough, and I couldn’t imagine having people constantly doubt if you’re a citizen. On a lighter note, I learned so many pretty words for nature terms in the Komorebi conversation with Yusuke!

I like the Koto no ha podcast but I find the rapid-fire, casual exchanges between the hosts difficult to follow, even in the episodes where “N4 level” is indicated.
When it comes to podcasts I find more difficult, I tend to do more “passive” listening, which is when I just try to listen to the sounds and recognize some words, but often my mind drifts off and it kind of becomes background noise. (This is especially the case when I listen on the subway to work or anywhere else where there is a lot of visual/audio stimulation around.) I think that this practice may still be helpful in the long run, as I’m still listening to intonation and this kind of thing, but I wonder if I need to dedicate more time to a more “active” listening, as in, trying my hardest to really follow along.
Continuing with 舞妓さんちのまかないさん on Netflix which is wonderful 
It makes me curious about reading the manga!

Finished Pimsleur Level 3 Lesson 6. An absolutely brutal lesson- new vocab, new verbs, new grammatical concepts, plus they brought up a ton of old words as part of the SRS. Will definitely repeat this one tomorrow.

・GTA NewTown - Kuzuha Day 1 (4h)
・Kanae plays Resident Evil requiem - Part 1 and Part 2 (3h 11m + 4h 18m)
Watching Kuzuha trying to recruit gang member on the first day was very fun. Preparing 会話デッキ (making a list of topics to talk about or questions to ask)、さすが人見知り。It’s not the first time he has done that.
Also finished part 1 and 2 of RE9 playthrough. I don’t like gore or horror at all, but it’s not so bad now that I’ve built up stamina for bloody zombies 
It’s fun watching someone like Kanae play since he’s quite the skilled gamer.
(Fun fact: It’s called Resident Evil in the West, but Biohazard in Japan.)
