Go higher up in the mountains or not? I remember the altitude sickness from a while ago, and I don’t want to experience that again! But re-reading the paragraph, I see that the climb is described as gentle and the slope going down is described as a little steep. Maybe this time it’s better to climb the gentle slope and see what’s up there, rather than risking falling down the steep slope.
Hmmm, yeah, this is a little tricky because they seem similar. I’m reading into the choices and going to assume ‘gentle’ slope is better because it’s gentle. Maybe when we go up a little bit the helicopter will be able to see us better.
Gonna agree with Marifly and soggyboy here. We’re not getting a clear picture of the pros and cons here, but the word ‘gentle’ could be a hint. It’s probably harder to survive on the peak than it is to survive on the ground though. So hopefully someone can save us before we d-word hsjsj
Hi All, I tried to catch-up on my delay but still haven’t been able to find where my book is… definitely have to clean up my office. Please go ahead without me and I will try to catch-up later
Oh no! A lost book on a LOST adventure. I hope you find what you need in real life. We’ll proceed bravely without you, leaving tracks and directions for you
It turns out we have great survival skills. We successfully make a fire and turn in for the night
But the next day - we are still faced with where to go and what to do! Survival depends first and foremost on being sensible. Let’s go the gentle slope up rather than risk slipping down a climb. Maybe there’ll be a good view

Oh no! we feel woozy again. Well, looks like we should find a route down, drop altitude again and see if we have any better ideas after we feel better. Let’s go!!

This is some of the only food we’ve run into so far but it’s probably been dead for a while if condors are eating it. Might not be healthy but we may need food. I say take it. The birds won’t be thrilled to be stolen from.
I wonder what other animals will arrive, attracted by the dead animal? And I’ve seen a smaller version of these birds - they’re scary! I’m not convinced we’ll survive that contest
I’m thinking let’s go fishing where is that option?
Don’t miss the info page (58), it’s really interesting
I might be completely wrong, but wouldn’t it be easy to hide from these birds after stealing their food?
I’m really lost on this one because what if we die of hunger in the next stage? And if the bird attacks us, we might survive (albeit with wounds?). I don’t think they’re strong enough to kill us.
But here’s the biggest but: I guess we can’t eat the raw meat, so I assume we will be cooking it - and that smell may attract more land animals?
We head down the mountain and what do we find but a group of アンデスコンドル ! They’re feeding on a dead animal and we start to feel hungry… should we crash the party and eat? But taking a second look - those birds have BIG claws and fierce beaks, and who knows how long the animal has been dead to have attracted them… so maybe instead of taking their meal, we decide to look elsewhere and find something else ourselves. We hope…
