17 pages in 1:10 hr (more or less), including looking up place names (Google). People names relied on just Google Translate.
7 pages in 22 min. Roughly 3-4 min/page.

I think this will be my final session of the night now that my eyelids are drooping and words are more difficult to process 
I did manage to finish Vol. 4 of Naruto before reaching my limit.

I didn’t quite make my page goal but the average reading level of these books was much higher than what I read during the summer challenge, so I still consider it a win!
I will look on eagerly for the rest of the weekend as more people start the challenge for Sunday and Monday 
I can’t wait to see where our Winter Solstice goals will be… I’m sure it won’t be easy after all the hard work everyone has already done at only halfway through the fall challenge!!

Been reading off and on throughout the evening, but I’m definitely starting to fall asleep now… 
Finished the rest of Volume 12 of 名探偵コナン, plus the first 4 chapters in Volume 13, which brings me to a total of 240 pages read over the course of 8 and a half hours. My 24 hours technically don’t end until mid-morning tomorrow, so it’s possible I might get a bit more in… Guess I’ll see how I feel when I wake up. Even if I don’t, this was a lot of fun! I’ll definitely be doing this again for the Winter Solstice!

I woke up a little bit earlier than I wanted…but I’ve eaten and I’m awake now etc. I started at 8:18pm with finishing up ダンジョン飯 23 pages so I finished the last bit of week 1 + all of week 2 in just about 60 minutes exactly.
Now we see how far I can get in カゲロウデイズ.

Got a slightly late start due to a computer issue that took an hour to pinpoint and resolve, but I don’t expect to read Sunday morning (when my 24-hour mark hits), so I’ll take today’s reading as my results:

Including the Porco Rosso anime-manga here feels like a bit of a cheat, so I didn’t count pages with little to no dialogue. (The count came to 135 pages in all.)
Weak areas:
- Only read about 25% of what I planned in ひとりぼっち.
- Likewise, ハナヤマタ I only read about a third of what I’d planned.
- Didn’t get in a second chapter of ホスト部 as planned.
- I reached my goal for 虹色デイズ, but I would have liked to have gotten in another chapter, just for the progress. (The series hasn’t captured my interest yet.)
- I didn’t make as much book club progress as hoped.
But overall, I read for nearly six hours, whereas usually, I’d probably not get in more than two hours on a Saturday. This goes a long way to ensuring I won’t be mid-volume in anything at the end of the year.
You have more reading stamina than I for the little chatterbox case-solver!

Maybe being too aware and counting time/pages makes reading less tolerant, not sure of the real speed (with proper reading in any case). I am not particular fond of tracking, or I am just not used to.

I read next week’s reading assignment for the Natively Mystery Book Club - we’re currently reading 点と線 and next week’s reading was 64 pages so glad to have that out of the way.
I’m calling it today at 204 pages, will add to the table shortly. I didn’t track my time as I was reading, chatting on Discord, talking to my partner, etc and so not 100% focused throughout. If I had to guess I read around 6 hours in total
I would have liked to have finished more today (I have so many in progress books 
) but I did make A Choice 
to start a brand new (short) book and finish it

It is now 9:20am here and I’m back for my 2nd session after getting a good night’s sleep. I’m snuggled into a fuzzy blanket on the couch with a coffee and several of my challenge books close at hand. Also plenty of water.

Finished the 2nd to last short story in 虚像の道化師.
364→409; 45 pages in 56 minutes.
Shows how tired I was yesterday when it took 42 mins for 27 pages, haha.
Total so far: 87p in 1h23m.
12+hrs to go. But first it’s time for a short break. I’ll finish getting ready for the day, do some chores, them maybe read some manga for a bit.

4 hours 50 minutes later and I’ve done volume 2 of カゲロウデイズ (+153 pages).
I can keep going. I just need a stretch break and to get some tissues because I keep sneezing and my nose is super runny.

ケロロ軍曹 3 end volume (started today)
+120 pages in maybe 3 hr. So whole volume 4 hours. Got sleepy sometimes, though.
Though not tried, I am sure I can do a volume of 鋼の錬金術師 in less than 2 hours. possibly just 1. (Read yesterday, though.)

I finished こいものがたり 2 | L20; It feels like so long ago that I last read volume 1, but it was no trouble at all finding myself in the story again. This was a re-read; I’ve now finally read both volumes out in Japanese. 
It’s one of my favourite manga.
287 pages, 1h58m.
Total time spent: 3h21m.
287 pages of manga, 87 of novel.
I’ll take a short break, maybe get a bite to eat and then either start the last short story in 虚像の道化師 or read a bit of のぼうの城… or start something new.

I have made catching up progress for 3/4 of my goals, which is great. Despite trying to take frequent breaks, I keep feeling like I’m on the verge of a headache. ウスズミ is a really difficult read for me, so I had to break it in two. But I’m still optimistic for 軌跡 this afternoon.

All my timings are guesstimates and I suspect I spent more time than described, which means my total page count isn’t great. Equally I recently finished night shifts and my attention span is terrible. Plus the 2 top items are books I should have finished but am struggling with as I find them both slow going. (TBH I find Spy Family slow going sometimes too, but at least I’m up to date with the club).
Also this isn’t really 24 hours as I started this morning but am working early.
On the plus side, I’m now a lot closer to finishing off some of my overdue clubs. In particular, I only have less than 20 pages of 紡ぐ乙女と大正の月 left, so I should be able to tick that off shortly.

Early afternoon update
Home post I’m noticing that I really want to work on one of my hobby projects today, so my reading time might be shorter than I’d anticipated.
Read 12 pages of light novel, which sounds like so little but took almost half an hour. I’m blaming the higher information density of Japanese text
