OK, that took a while this week, lots of looking words up on the vocab sheet, there were quite a lot of pages and a fair bit of dialogue. I think there’s more going on than Yotsuba simply mis-pronouncing 美少女 as ビミョーニョ. The first time she says it (page 132) ビミョ is written as katakana so it could lean toward the slang meaning of meh, mediocre, lacking, etc. She’s probably heard Daddy using it with that nuance in other contexts, too. This would align with Yotsuba’s assessment of Fuuka in Chapter 2 as the not so pretty one and why Jumbo so quickly corrects her. ---

It’s been a while since I last chimed in here. I am quickly catching up; I read chapters 2 and 3 over the last few days. This is really fun! My one mild frustration has been a few stretches where I need to find my place again on the vocab file (after not needing it for a page or two), but all the page numbers keep the ceiling of the difficulty on that low. I don’t know who put that together, but it has been really helpful. Edit: I am now caught up! やった! ---
