My record readathon time is just over 5 hours, how the heck was I functional for 8 and a half?? I had such an enjoyable time reading, too, I mentioned at 2.5 hours that it felt like nothing and I was almost definitely going to beat my 5 hour record. But by that much…!
I think starting easy was a good confidence booster – as opposed to my previous tactic of starting difficult “while I had energy” – and I got lucky that the unknown (to me) volume I chose first ended up being extremely interesting. I had such a fun time reading through everything that followed, and was even able to push myself pretty easily to finish the one I didn’t like. Sleep definitely killed my flow, though 
Once morning came around and I still had 8 or so hours on the clock, I was too tired to push myself as much as I had the previous night. Though an extra kick or two forced me to read right up until the finish line 
In all, I had a great time and smashed my expectations. I really enjoy reading everyone’s updates and, whether you beat your goals or not, I love seeing how much you accomplish and how some of you already began formulating plans for next time haha 
I’m always so grateful for everyone who joins these, it’s a true honor being able to read alongside you all!! 
I’ll keep the Results post open for another day or so while final participants finish… we’re so close to beating our Winter time goal
