黒幕 isn't Dick Cheney

While I appreciate the mnemonic value of thinking of Dick Cheney. I’m not going to use 黒幕 in conversation or read a book and think they’re talking about Dick Cheney. So I’m not sure why it’s an answer and not just a mnemonic.

Isn’t it the same reason Nic Cage is an answer for National Treasure? They’re just having some (decidedly dated) fun. I’m sure they’ll remove it at some point, but I think everyone recognizes it as just a little easter egg type thing.

I guess I haven’t run into the Nic Cage one in a minute. I am just thinking that these answers aren’t really answers. But I guess you’re right. There are other ones like this.

The irony is, you would not know the name of a real 黒幕, because they are safely hidden from the glare of attention.

Hans Zimmer can’t be happy that his music is described as noise  :joy:

Hans is the Green Day of orchestral music. Just someone who knows 3 chords and the right people in the industry.

3 chords, eh? Well that’s two more than what I know

I wouldn’t go that far, he obviously knows how to compose, it’s just that his stuff sounds formulaic and generic to me. It’s basically the Reader’s Digest version of Wagner.

I liked the Dune soundtrack. I mean, I don’t really know his stuff well.

But it’s possible I just have reader’s digest taste.
