Thanks so much to everyone who chimed in on my previous questions. Herein the last of them for this week!

「いや、わたし一人だってサンデーのめんどうぐらいみれる。」

This is Monday talking to Rina. I get that he’s saying “I can see to Sunday’s care myself”, but I’m unclear what the ぐらい is doing in the middle there?

おかあさんがいるならよんであげればいいのにと、リナは思った。

Okay, Rina is saying “if only his mum were here I could call for her”… right?

かんざしをつけて、つのかくしをしたら、なんとかかっこうだけはついた。

I get the first two parts, but don’t understand what なんとかかっこうだけはついた means. Something to do with it “somehow fitting her appearance”?

phew!

uuuhg, I finally finished this slog of a chapter…

くらい can express a degree or amount. I’m not sure if it’s correct, but I read it as like “This amount of trouble/care for Sunday I can see to by myself.” Since this happened right after he changed his mind, I think it’s implying that if it were more serious he might not have reconsidered? Maybe in more natural English “I can see to this kind of problem for Sunday by myself.”
