解散 Question

#1

I’m learning 解散, and I was wondering if it’s the same "かいさん! " meaning something like “Dismissed!” that’s heard in anime and such sometimes? The definition of “breakup” seems like it would match, but I couldn’t find anything on Jisho.

Yep, the very same! And like you said, it means ‘Dismissed!’, ‘Disperse!’ or something similar that would cause an assembly of people to be dissolved/broken up.

Cool, that makes it easier to remember. Thanks for the reply

For breaking up with a significant other, I recall seeing 別ける.
