The Steam version of this game is ONLY available in English. While there are ways around that, they are not legal so I will not be explaining them. There may be are bugs like in FC, including one in the tutorial that blocks progression.

There is also an EVO version of the game. I don’t have a copy of this version and I’m not sure where you can get one. This version has voice acting, but the combat system is (very likely to be) unbalanced.

SALE: The DLsite version is on sale until the 13th August.

There’s a jpdb deck. The vocab data there seems to be based on trailsinthedatabase that contains the game’s script in both English and Japanese. (It’s not in chronological order and the English is the official localisation not a literal translation)

Also, pacing. There is the option of what I did with FC with the weekly threads and approximate character counts, or to switch to one thread per chapter per month. I think I’m leaning towards weekly since it should be easier to play together and for the side quest and optional content hints if the chunks are smaller. Plus doing something every week is easier to remember than just once a month. But I’m also happy to do the monthly threads if that’s what people prefer.

Yay SC home thread is here, thank you @RebBlue! I just set up and tested my PC copy of SC today and am good to go whenever. My votes are cast.

Regarding the current results of the poll: I think maybe starting at 7.5k an possibly ramping up later may be a good idea, we did this with SC after all (from 5k to 7.5k iirc) and I thought it worked well.

Regarding the start date I voted to postpone a bit because I happen to be a bit busy right now and my August should be a bit more chill (hopefully) but I’ll probably be able to keep up if you all want to start next week.

I’m not the best participant to ask since I dropped out so early, but I liked following the FC threads. I enjoyed the spoilered questions each week asking what we thought about the new things in the plot. I’ll follow the final fantasy club so I will not be in for SC but I’ll read the threads for it. If I do go back to Sky it’ll probably be through that remake they’re doing.

The game from Steam keeps crashing. Now I can’t get past Chain Craft tutorial. (It used to crash at quartz shop too, but sometimes it doesn’t.)

Patched. Steam is originally only available in English.

Okay, having just tested it myself I suspect the error is with the chain craft animation. I am not very tech savvy so the only solution I can think of is to revert to eng for this one section and save, or maybe I could share a save file just past this point?

If I’m right on the error, that does mean anyone using the Steam version won’t be able to use chain crafts. I was not able to replicate the crashing at the quartz shop though so no clue on that one.

Yeah, I got past tutorial by verify integrity, but now I have to reinstall the mods.

Chain craft also cannot be used afterwards. One feature disabled.

Battle voice is more troublesome to patch. (I don’t really care about spoken lines, but even then…) I feel like getting dl version already. Still, money, and too late to refund.
