濁 Muddy meaning explanation

I was just reading the explanation for the 濁 and read “Poor buggles!” What is buggles? Is this an old English expression? I googled it and only got the “Video Killed the Radio Star” music video which I enjoyed for the first time in a long time.

Possibly they’re trying to say “bugs” (as in insects) in a cutesy way, but yeah, that’s not something I’ve ever heard before.
