If you mean me, it was less complaining and more looking for anything besides myself to blame my continued lateness on :stuck_out_tongue:

You may or may not be the person I had in mind :stuck_out_tongue:
But rejoice, as you will have two (2) extra days this time!

Plot! Who would have expected it!

I know, right!

Speaking of not expecting plot anymore, I’m almost done with volume 5 and it was 70% [redacted] making, followed by 15% plot and now ~12% random side stories. (And 3% legal terms, cover and illustrations I guess).
Those 70% were a bit of a chore, to be honest. I really can relate to the negative comments on BookLive.

To pastiche this comment, this is basically a [redacted] making manual cleverly disguised as an isekai novel.
Plot was amazing though.

@Naphthalene I’m realizing now that the schedule has the chapters mislabeled. When I wrote up the schedule, I just knew how many chapters there were and that there was a prologue and epilogue. I didn’t realize that the last two chapters were bonus chapters. So week 9 is actually chapter 24 and the epilogue, while week 10 is the two bonus chapters.

Also, the link to week 8 both in the OP and in the week 7 thread point to the wrong thread.

Weird, the “wrong” thread and the thread for week 8 have the same thread url number: 46225
Naph abbreviated the name for the thread in the link with “x” to make it more convenient, but the link takes us to the wrong thread. Didn’t know threads could have the same identifying number o:

I look forward to hearing what you think of the overall story for books 4-7. :joy:

That is pretty fast. You don’t lose time, do you.

It’s also pretty old, I’m 33% through volume 6 at the moment :stuck_out_tongue:
But, yes, I’ve been reading a bit more than 100 pages a day on average for the past two weeks or so.

Am jealous. Best I’ve managed is 60 pages in a day, and I was so tired afterwards sweat_smile

Yeah, I’m not doing that speed  . Japanese is still my baby language however (3 years now :joy: )

Never thought about it that way, but my Japanese is in junior high, then. I guess I’m reading age appropriate material then :joy:

At the time I started Wanikani (for real), that was my situation too. A few month prior, I did mesure my average, and it was between 25 and 30 pages a day. (I mention WK, but I think the most instrumental part of my progress was Floflo )

I’m around 20 pages per day when the plot is good and it’s not too hard :sob: hum…

I’M THE ONE WHO IS JALEOUS :sob: :sob: :sob:

I’ve tried to pre-learn some vocab, but I haven’t managed to stick to it. I got an ereader recently (thanks everyone for the help) and I think once I finish my physical books and start reading more than the odd manga on it I will benefit a lot form the easy word lookup. Right now I am a skipping a lot of words that I don’t know because I don’t feel like looking them up, but that’s not really helping me learn.

60 pages was the most I’ve done. I’m still behind on this book so your average is better than mine sweat_smile
