曲線 in context

Hello community,

as I learned 曲線 a few days back I imagined a curved road (you would drive with on with a car/train/w.e.). But as I googled it now it only showed me math diagrams with curves. So a sentence like this ( 僕は車を曲線に運転する。) won’t work?

Most of my image results for the English “curve” are also for math-related curves.

I think the important thing to remember is that since this is an onyomi jukugo, it is likely that it is naturally going to have a more “formal” or “stiff” feeling than the equivalent kunyomi way of saying it (something like 曲がった線)

The WK example sentences make it clear that it doesn’t have to be used in a math context. But keep in mind they are often intentionally silly.

Thank you very much.
In German we use the word “Kurve” often in street related topics although we do use it in mathematics aswell. Thanks for the clarifications.
