施 why 'carry out' and no 施し?

So I’m just learning this kanji and wondering why there’s no ほどこし vocab that means charity which I think would make this kanji easier to learn. They only went with carry out and two jukugo vocab. I can put give, donate, and perform in synonyms and it’s fine right?

Because 施設 and 施行 are both very common words, while 施し is rarer.

Sure. Adding yet another weird kunyomi would make things easier. Right. :scream: :scream:

I mean, I always found learning kanji via vocab with just that one kanji easier (like verbs) since you can pretty much tie the meaning of that vocab to the kanji.
