Could someone explain to me what an Idle Complaint is?
I have searched the web, but haven’t found any exact definitions; only example sentences that don’t give me anything. In the vocab, it gives a second meaning of grumble, but I’m not sure what the logic is between idle complaint and grumble. Intuitively, I assume it’s complaining without doing anything about the issue.
Could any native English person help me here? Thanks a bunch!
I’m not native, but the way I understand 愚痴 is that it’s when you vent about stuff that’s bothering you, like maybe after a particular hard day at work, etc… But just to vent so you’re not really doing anything about it.
