外 not accepting はず in vocabulary

Early on you learn outside as がい alongside inside ない

You then learn outside, extremity and to be disconnected as そと、はずれ、外れる
Respectively.

This is followed shortly by 外人 as がいじん

I would recommend that がいじん is introduced later, possibly once はず はずれ、はずれる are guru level.

Alternatively はず needs to be accepted as vocabulary for the single kanji 外 with a warning about the multiple meanings.

Just my two cents

外 by itself cannot be read as はず. It’s only はず when it’s followed by す or れ (and possibly some other mora that I’m not aware of).

No, it doesn’t. It’s not a proper reading of 外 when it’s a single kanji word. WaniKani would be teaching an improper reading to users. These are the words in which はず is a proper reading.

Where is the problem exactly?

Well that makes more sense - obviously its not asking for a part reading, thats like asking for the word car and me answering Auto and then complaining that because auto is the first part of automobile that auto should be an acceptable answer

i understand my mistake, and withdraw my bug report

The system does not introduce new vocabs when other vocabs reach guru, but when the kanji for those vocabs reach guru.
