Welcome to 夏のレプリカ - Replaceable Summer

This book is Volume 7 of the Saikawa & Moe (S&M) Series Book Club. Join the Saikawa & Moe (S&M) Series Book Club here!

Despite of this, it shouldn’t be much of a problem to read it without knowing the other volumes. Of course we learned about the main protagonists’ backgrounds in previous books, but usually there is a quick recap in each volume that covers the most important points. Character development is also very slow because each volume’s main focus is on a given criminal case and not on the life of the people around it, and the cases themselves have been totally unrelated so far. In any case, if you are wondering about anything while reading this book, you are of course free to ask and somebody can fill you in.

Hey all, finally got around to setting up this home thread  I took the liberty to suggest a reading schedule (see OP). If you have other ideas or suggestions, please let me know!

Thanks @NicoleIsEnough! This will be the first proper book club I’ve participated in this year. Looking forward to it!

Hey all, just checking back whether we’re ready to dive into this book from Saturday?

I will probably start with a small delay, but from looking at “Illusion”'s last week’s thread, it seems like everybody else is good to go?!
(And don’t worry about me, I’m hoping to be able to catch up soon)

I won’t be ready for a couple weeks, but I don’t mind if you start without me.

I’m ready but I’m also fine with waiting a bit more.

Alright, as nobody has made a strong case for starting later, let’s jump into our parallel story straight away!

I’ve set up next week’s thread today already because tomorrow I will only have a very short timeslot in the morning, and if I happen to forget to do it then, I won’t be able to tend to it for a few days :cold_sweat:

I’m again busy from tonight until Sunday or so, so posting early in order to not forget :innocent:

Here is Week 7! Please note that we are reading two chapters in this week.
And after this, the only thing that stands between us and the truth is one looong chapter full of twists and turns and revelations, I assume

And here it comes, the final, the ultimate, the end-all-be-all last chapter!

Will we get answers to all the pressing questions? And how will the developments on the romantic side move forward (if ever ) ?
