The momentum really picked up in this week’s chapter! Lots happening as 喜久雄 starts a new journey learning kabuki in Osaka (poor 春江, she moved all the way up there for him and it seems like he’s too busy for her - how will that develop?). In the last week’s section I was also wondering how 徳次 would fit into the rival dynamic between 喜久雄 and 俊介 but much to my surprise he is leaving for 北海道 to go work. 
Maybe he really will become rich and appear later as a patron? I hope so - their bond is really sweet so I’d like to see how they interact as adults.
When 万菊 keeps 喜久雄 behind to tell him he has a beautiful face but he should be careful with it, it seemed to be some foreshadowing. 
Let’s see what happens. The chapter ended on a cliffhanger once more, and I am excited to keep going.
I am enjoying the standard chapter length and serialized feel. It makes it easy to read one chunk at a time at a decent pace, and makes me keep going since I want to find out what happens in the next chapter!
Thank you for sharing these! It helped with visualizing what was happening when they went to see the performance at the end of the chapter and were talking about 万菊s movements.
