There are four chapters in the book, of roughly 100 pages each. More specifically, chapter 1 is 92 pages, chapter 2 is 103 pages, chapter 3 is 98 pages and chapter 4 is 101 pages. There are very frequent visual breaks in every chapter, roughly every one or two pages, so we can easily stop anywhere. Do you think we should take two or three weeks per chapter? Maybe 3 weeks for the first couple of chapters, then go faster for the last two?
I prefer 3 weeks per chapter (roughly 30+ pages per week)
I prefer 2 weeks per chapter (roughly 50 pages per week)
I prefer starting slow for the first two chapters, speed up later
Just thought i would bump this post to get more votes in the poll. I would prefer 3 weeks per chapter just because I think if I get into something else while reading I will be more likely to still maintain my reading for the club. 50 pages I would need to probably schedule out and I don’t know if I would be able to keep up at that pace. 8-10 pages a day is right at that line of taking up a lot of my “Japanese time.”
If we also take into account that the book is graded a very high level 43 on Natively, it makes sense to at least start slow. I’m thinking of drawing a schedule of ~30+ pages per week and maybe hold a poll halfway about possibly speeding up if the book turns out to be not as hard as currently graded. Unless someone disagrees?
Tentative schedule is up. If someone has a physical copy I would be grateful if they could provide the actual page numbers, as mine are bound to be off.
These are the pages in the physical bunko edition of the book.

Thank you! I see that the way I divided the last two chapters is not very even.
Should we move week 7 and week 8 to the next section, ending respectively at 羽貫さんは言った。(57%), and と名づけることにした。 (65%)?
And then week 11 two sections over to 無視し始めた。(82%) and week 12 several sections over to 四畳半横断の旅に出る。 (90%).
I’m hoping this would work out better. Could you check at your convenience? (no rush)
I haven’t decided if I am going to try to read this book along with everyone or not, is this a good representative sample of what the book is like? I ask because I want to know if I can handle it before I buy it, unless someone wants to send a picture of a page for me to look at?
