WaniKani is usually pretty good at accepting alternate spellings, so I was a little surprised when I got to 噂 and received a spelling warning for “rumour”.
(This applies to both the kanji entry and the vocab entry.)
I’ve added my own synonyms, of course, but please consider adding “rumour” to both entries globally.
Does it matter? You still get it righ. The fuzzy match system is good for catching alternative spellings as well as typos.
They don’t like being told that their spellings are “a little bit off” 
It’s also really annoying if you use the mistake delay script
