EN summary

The story takes place in Hokkaido. 15-year-old high school freshman Sawako Kuronuma—dubbed Sadako by her classmates for her resemblance to the character from The Ring —has always been feared and misunderstood because of her appearance. Rumors around school report that she can see ghosts and curse people. However, despite her ominous appearance, she is actually a sweet and unassuming girl who only longs to be helpful. She has been shunned for so long that the idea of making friends has become foreign to her. When a popular boy, Kazehaya, begins talking with her, everything changes. She finds herself in a new world, making new friends and talking to different people, and she cannot thank Kazehaya enough for giving her these opportunities. Slowly, but surely, a sweet love blossoms between the two as they overcome circumstances and obstacles standing in their way.

AAAA TOO EMBARRASSING :sob: :sob: :sob:

ahhhh the bath exorcisms xddd

Chapter 9

Let’s learn an entire alphabet, shall we? C:

Chapter 10

I think that if you’ve already been told that you look like a doll, being “even cuter” is the wrong direction to go in, time to start accessorizing instead xddd

Also, surprise surprise, the competition between くるみ and さわこ is mostly in さわこ’s head xdd

aaaaand they’re besties ^^

Chapter 11

THE TEST OF THE BONDS

well they skipped a few levels of intimidacy really quickly xdddd

i wonder how さわこ must be freaking out right now ^^

you know, if anything, the 体育会委員会 wasn’t doing much on me, but the さわこ and くるみ sideplot brought me back to this volume and made me interested again ^^

If I wasn’t a part of this book club (and didn’t have a pile of digital 積読), I don’t think I would’ve made it to this volume, but I’m glad I did, out of the four speed run book club mangas, I think I liked this a bit more than 花野井くんと恋の病, but not as much as 自転車屋さんの高橋くん or 推しの子, so, I was able to read the three volumes on time!

Thank you very much for reading 君に届け with me this far and I hope that you enjoyed the book club ^^

I feel like volume 3 is where the series starts to get interesting. The first (and second? hard to recall when going through volumes fairly quickly) felt like there was a lot of the same thing going on in Sawako’s head over and over and over again. While I’m sure there will be some of that going forward, things have reached a point where there can be a wider focus.

I may have gone a little overboard on reading this past week. Once I finish volume 4, I’ll be slowing down to “random read occasionally” like most of my non-book club reads are.

Note: Reading times are wrong because my reading is split between Mokuro Reader (tracked here) and a Kobo e-reader (not tracked here).
