What words use the on’yomi setsu for this kanji 切?
I often find if I can tie a word to the 'yomi, it helps me remember, but 大切 (taisetsu) isn’t really doing it for me.
(and if you have a good online dictionary that gives more examples, a link would be lovely!)

I’d wager that 親切「しんせつ」(kind, gracious, friendly) is the most common one you’ll come across for that onyomi. The kunyomi is used more often though.

One or two levels back I learned 切腹 せっぷく. Switch the kanji around and you get 腹切り はらきり. Perhaps not super useful, but it’s two cool words I knew since long before studying japanese.
