My interpretation was that she did see through the HR bullshit and Shima counted it as a pass to her basic bullshit detector function test. My impression was that the applicant’s upbeat “thank you for your valuable story”, was a way to avoid saying something that might offend the HR person while still signaling to Shima that she understood the purpose of her original question to test her and countered with a counter question that highlighted she caught a lie in the pamphlet.
Yeah, I also had my problems with that, and a lot of other things you mention.
